Don’t forget to apply for the 2024 Community Action Fund by UK Black Pride! This fund supports organisations that advocate for LGBTQI+ 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️Black individuals and POC in the UK.

Who is eligible to apply?
Community groups, organisations, charities with less than a £1m annual turnover, religious groups, and individuals with a UK address for their bank account.

How much can you request?
Minimum: £1,000
Maximum: £6,000

The focus areas for this year’s program include spaces, mental health, safety, and workplace support.

Please be aware that the fund does not support Government Departments/Organisations, NGOs, or political parties.

🌈 We’re thrilled to announce the launch of the 2024 Community Action Fund by UK Black Pride. This fund will provide support to organisations that champion LGBTQI+ Black individuals and people of color across the UK.

Who can apply for the UK Black Pride 2024 Community Action Fund?

We welcome applications from community groups, organisations, charities with less than a £1m annual turnover, religious groups, and individuals based in the UK with a UK address for their bank account.

How much can you apply for?
Minimum Amount: £1,000
Maximum Amount: £6,000

This year, the CAF program focuses on four key areas:
- spaces, places, and visibility;
- mental and emotional well-being;
- safety in public spaces;
- and the workplace.

Please note that the CAF will not fund Government Departments/Organisations, NGOs, or political parties.

On August 11 2024, UK Black Pride brings the community together for a party and protest at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, London. Now officially the world’s largest celebration for LGBTQI+ people of African, Asian, Caribbean, Latin American and Middle Eastern, the event will see a range of performances, talks, community stalls and workshops.

The world’s largest pride celebration for LGBTQI+ people of African, Asian, Caribbean, Latin American and Middle Eastern-descent has continued to grow year-on-year. From a bus-load of attendees travelling to Southend-on-Sea to 10,000 people in Haggerston Park, UK Black Pride is proud to return to Newham, the largest space the organisation has occupied since its inception.

UK Black Pride CEO Phyll Opoku-Gyimah says, “it is with such joy that we can announce our return to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park for the third year running. It is slowly becoming a great home for our event as we grow bigger and bigger. As we reflect on previous years, we are planning to make this the biggest and the boldest UK Black Pride yet. We are working on the theme for this year and it is going to be a powerful one”.

The application for performers, community stall-holders, food and drink vendors and workshop hosts will be open soon. A separate announcement will be made with the theme of this year’s event.
