The Beano and Dandy were British children's comics. First published in the late 1930's these comics were the longest running weekly comics in the world.
The Beano comic magazine was created by Scottish publishing company DC Thomson, originally launched as a sister title to The Dandy.
March 1951 issue introduced Davey Law's strip Dennis the Menace, whilst The Dandy's favourite character Desperate Dan was also a huge hit.
The Beano is still produced today in various forms, whilst the last edition of the Dandy was published in 2013

These copies are from 1991, the Beano August 24th and the Dandy September 28th.
Both are in good condition, no rips or tears, slight discolouring around the edges of some pages.

These are very rare items and would make excellent additions to any collection.

Scouting began as a programme for boys aged 11 to 18. 1907: The first experimental camp organised by Robert Baden-Powell with 20 boys at Brownsea Island, United Kingdom was a great success. 1908: Baden-Powell published “Scouting for Boys”, which was an immediate hit and has since sold over 100 million copies.
This publication dated 1931 was subsequently issued to boys as a reference journal when joining the Wolf Cub movement.

Included with this viewer are 15 reels featuring Mr Men, Sooty, the Muppets, Buck Rogers and Disney's the Fox and Hound.

A super Dakin figurine of a favourite childhood character -
Smarter than the average bear!  60 years ago Yogi starred in a musical animated feature film, Hey There, It's Yogi Bear!, released in 1964.
He first appeared as a supporting feature on The Huckleberry Hound Show in 1958. The character was so popular that in 1961 he received his own TV show, which was aired until 1988.

With Easter not far off I thought I'd share one of my favourite illustrations of Humpty Dumpty! Made in 1960's by Brixham Pottery in Devon, this plate is quite rare and collectable. A very nostalgic piece featuring a well loved nursery rhyme.

Very unusual Scheurich small vase in white iridescent lustre glaze, circa 1960's.
Attractive pearly iridescence showing rainbow like colouring.
I believe this is a very rare Scheurich piece, which would make a nice addition to any vintage ceramic collection.
