This was fun! Happy Halloween everyone and have a wonderful evening whatever you do… Halloween nails are really my favourite thing to do… Shame it is all over until next year! This set was done for my friends daughter who is going to a Halloween party tonight 🎃 🧙‍♀️ 😈

When I decided to embark on a new career after being made redundant from my long-term position at Ageas Insurance it was a very daunting step! I had been with the company for over 20 years and I probably wasn’t fulfilling my passions as a much more creative person within the office environment!

It was a huge leap for me to start all over again, but making oneself look pretty and enjoying the girly stuff has never been something new to me. I have always been interested in hair and beauty, so all of this seemingly has come quite natural to me.

As a huge thank you for all the support my friends and family have given me I want to invite you to a celebration at Christmas time which not only acknowledge the launch of my beauty business but also as a chance to raise a glass and offer you all a drink to say how much I appreciate you all being my customers and helping me on my journey.

When clients don't even know what's on their nails. This is not good. Yes, it’s all a bit confusing. What’s Gel v Shellac, what’s overlay, why do you promote gel not acrylic?? Lots of questions I take time to answer with my clients so the actually know what they’re getting.

Ruin a nail and it’s damaged for life. Make sure you take time to make the right choices, look after your nails and always remove gel with care and get regular manicures and nourish them with oils daily.

What's the step-by-step of getting a gel pedicure?

A gel pedicure is very similar—if not identical—to a gel manicure. The basic outline is cutting the nails, lightly soaking the feet, cutting the cuticles, thorough cleaning, a callus treatment, a scrub and massage, followed by one base coat layer, two layers of color, and a top coat layer.

After every layer of gel polish on the toenails, the feet are placed under a LED light for 30 seconds, or 60 to 90 seconds after the topcoat. Just like any pedicure, your feet are treated before polish is painted on the nails. However, thanks to the LED light, you don't have to worry about waiting for your nails to dry.

How long do gel pedicures last?

Here's why getting one is actually worth it. Pedicures generally last longer than manicures. There's just less wear and tear on your toes, even if you're on your feet all day. Gel manicures usually look decent for two to three weeks, depending on application skill and the product that was used, so you can expect even more wear from a gel pedicure.

Can they damage your nails?

Just like a gel manicure, gel pedicures have the potential to disturb the health of your nails. However, a lot of the damage can be avoided by getting the polish properly removed so you're not peeling off your nail with the polish. Also, spacing out how often you get a gel pedicure can help reduce nail damage. I always recommend a good healthy break every now and again when clients come for gel removal and a relaxing pedicure with nitrifying oils to rejuvenate the nail bed and give it time out.

Okay so my beautiful client was stepping out to an event last night and I went over to prep her in advance with my blowdry service and she chose some lovely gel polish for her toes.
She asked me to wait around and tell me what I thought of her outfit once it all came together, but I had to laugh when she put her lovely fresh nail polish into these beauties.
I have to say I love the shoes! But it was so funny… You just never know when you might take those shoes off though! Especially if it is a heavy night so go prepared she says 😂💗. Good thinking lady… I hope you had a wonderful evening.
