With the end of the busy Spring season upon us, on Friday we celebrated the hard work of all of the team who as ever have worked tirelessly with our fantastic customers.

We played some adventure golf at Sherdons 🏌️‍♀️, enjoyed a great lunch at The Gloucester Old Spot 🥪 before heading to The Pelican for their wonderful Real Ale Festival 🍻.

Mowing services 🌱

What a difference a cut makes!

Some of our customers are unable to or haven’t been able to cut their grass yet this year! This is where our team can step in alongside the customer’s regular visits to help with this 🙌

In these examples 📸 we have helped out with mowing alongside the customers’ fertiliser and w**d control visit.

Around this time of year when conditions allow, we recommend setting your mower high and reducing the cut height gradually over the next couple of months. This avoids putting unnecessary stress on your lawn.

Some amazing results here on a customer’s driveway in Cheltenham 🙌

In the ‘before’ photo their driveway was covered in moss and algae, the plan of action here followed:
- Spray with a biocide product
- Wait a few days for the product to take effect
- Pressure washing
- Sanding

Does your lawn look like this?

It could be Annual Meadow grass!🌱

This is an unsightly w**d grass which can spread easily and outcompete your desired grass types👎🏽

It’s common for this to start to happen in the early months of the year, here’s our top tip!

Rake lighter grass patches to make the leaf stand on end and then mow over, this causes stress to the undesired grass (lighter colour in this example). Repeat the process as often as the weather allows you to. Scarification is also a great way to break up this w**d grass, which can then be over sowed with desirable grass seeds!

This is what happens when you walk on a frosty lawn! ❄️

During hard frost, if you walk on your lawn it can cause the blades of grass to break. This will leave your footprints when the grass thaws and can take months to recover!
