This beautiful blue beaded gown, complete with ostrich feathers(!) came to me for alterations ahead of a wedding next month.

It has been substantially shortened (removing train) and the shoulders lifted (beading removed, sewn, then re-beaded).

Lindsey's dress needed shaping at the bodice as well as sleeves and straps shortening to make it fit perfectly. 🥰

True-blue* - two pretty blue bridesmaids' dresses shortened and given shoulder lifts in readiness for the big day!

*meaning of true-blue in English: completely loyal to a person or belief

Fantastically vibrant dress - this one is off to a wedding next week. The hem was dipping lower down in the front but because of the ruffled layers it wouldn't have looked right to alter at the hem. Instead, I've lifted it by removing a small section at the centre waist seam.

Another bridesmaid dress altered for a returning client. She must be a super friend to be a bridesmaid so often! 🥰

All ready for a destination wedding, this pretty Hobbs dress needed shortening whilst not losing the shape created by the triangular inserts (godets).

Who doesn't love a doorstep gift surprise!

I only did a couple of tiny emergency stitches, but it obviously meant a lot to the bride as I was treated to this!

A fairly simple alteration to this very unusual dress. Handmade in Africa in a striking green Ankara fabric.

Felicity's bridesmaid dress was altered so she could easily feed her baby without having to undo the whole bodice of the dress. I added concealed hook/eye fastenings at the top of each strap and moved the bow detail to disguise it.

Esme's dress was my very last prom dress of the 2024 season that came in for alteration. You look stunning, Esme, and it was very lovely meeting you and your mum.
