First job of the day, get up and replace a faulty light unit. Second job of the day, while the cherry picker was on hire, to install some LED flood lights in a farm yard area.
A recent bathroom refurbish. Removing the old tiles, cast bathtub, toilet and sink. Installing PVC panelling from A new shower tray, screen, vanity sink and toilet unit and electric shower and radiator. Finished off with vinal click flooring.
So other than changing the door when we change the rest of the internal doors our ensuite is finally finished. A 1000x800mm low profile shower tray enlarged from the 700x700 original tray by rearranging the adjacent wardrobe space. Chrome dual fuel towel rail. Custom recessed shelving, new toilet and sink. Oh and a new window too. All work carried out by myself.
This is a follow on from the bathroom ceiling I posted a couple of weeks ago. The existing bath has been pulled out, the walls have been squared to allow space for a 1400mm shower tray, and then clad with bathroom panels from
The floor is due to be done next along with replacing the toilet and sink and installing a new heated towel rail.
Wow! I didn't realise it's been so long since I last posted. Trust me when I say I've been keeping busy! This is the start of a bathroom refit, first job was to overboard and skim the ceiling. I'll post some progress pictures when back in a couple of weeks.
Merry Christmas to each and every one of my followers and customers.
Creating two new office spaces for a local business. Light alterations done and studwork up. Plasterboard and insulation tomorrow.
I've been really rubbish at posting of late but rest assure I've been keeping busy (too busy.) Here's the ceiling of our ensuite that I finally go round to doing on Saturday. After pinching some of our built in wardrobe to make a larger shower space. Now to get the walls done and the bathroom finished! Time permitting!
Testing his work
Time with the kids over at Nanny and Granddad's. They may as well learn something while they're at it.
Call out to a tripping light circuit. Found the cause and it's got 4 legs, a tail and some wicked teeth 🐭
First job of the day, check out a faulty/damaged zone valve. Most likely caused by the recent ceiling collapse. Which brings me onto the second job....
Added this adjustable KSR light for a customer this morning to add light to a book shelf in their hallway.
Finished off the boarding on this utility room today. This project was started a couple of years ago and shelved due to funds. It's nice to see it coming along again. Ready for skimming (by others) before I come back to tile, fit the units and 2nd fix.
Jake helping to mist coat the new plaster. And 2 walls drying that I did yesterday. The urge to use his mop of hair as a brush is overwhelming!
A bit of late night skimming at home.
Fitted my 2nd board today. Just managed to shoe horn it into the gap.
And now for a ceiling job at home. The part I don't enjoy quite so much but get huge satisfaction from when done.
A little Sunday morning job for some friends (previously first fixed by me.) Battened, insulated and boarded.
Excuse the mess, a bit of bank holiday Work at home. Out with the prefabricated plasterboard partition, in with a stud wall. Plasterboarding to follow.
Bank Holiday kitchen renovations. Ripping out our kitchen, wiring alterations and plasterboard repairs tomorrow to make way for a new kitchen.
Fitting my first board this morning. Suitably impressed
Today's job at home. Carpet Fitting isn't a service I typically offer but the carpets in our new house we're so bad (dirt) it's a quick fix and reasonably priced thanks to flooringsuperstore.com
