Is that even a saying?? 😂 A big day prepping yesterday for the Autumn brocante, it’s looking amazing and we still have two weeks to go! sounds like it’s all done, right? nope, it’s a vast job, i’m always in awe of what Sharon creates and manages to achieve in the time frame 🥰 A visually beautiful shopping experience awaits!

We are in full swing of prepping for this most exciting and beautiful event Autumn Brocante, as usual the 18th century cottage nestled into the Essex countryside will be flinging its doors open to welcome you to a visual spectacle of beautifully curated French brocante, furniture, decoratives, homewares, textiles and gardinalia, there is something for everyone!

After a fabulous few days at the Potting Shed you will find me at Newmarket Antiques & Collectors Fair today, you will find me in my normal place outside under the totes - 9.30-4pm at Rowley Mile Race Course, CB8 OTF

At the weekend this large 19th century statue of St Gerardes Magella, came home with me from Belgium constructed of plaster, hand-painted with amazing patina, showing his faded eminence. A beautifully harrowing face, that evokes his devotion to the religion. I am undecided if he is a keeper or seller, I am a little bit in love with him! 🥰

Well what can I say about this? Except a massive thank you to the incredibly talented .roberton and for this article in which is out now in the September issue. I just managed to grab a copy, well maybe more than just one! 🤭 It truly is such a delight to see our house in such an iconic magazine, which I have read for many years, never did I think it would be our cottage features in it one day! Thank you gorgeous ladies for making this happen xx 😘

Hooray Henry is coming to my next event at ICAF, Newark Antiques & Collectors fair 8-9th August, NG24 2NY This wonderfully chippy sign came out of an old tea shop in Cambridge back in the 80’s, the very height of the ‘hoorays’! 😂 It’s been stored in someone’s shed since then and it’s having it’s debut on the 8th! Karen and I will be sharing a marquee in the shopping arcade, pitch #3 so please pop in and say hi, we are looking forward to being back there!

The longer I have to pack my van the more stuff keeps getting put on! I have a real problem controlling the amount of things I put on my stall, so watch out World Embroidery Day I’m going to be bursting at the seams on my stand workshop this Saturday 27th July

A little glimpse in to my fabric obsession! Some will be heading to for World Embroidery Day on 27th July with the amazingly talented doing an embroidery workshop, tickets can be purchased from her website which is on her insta page - a day of stitching, tuition, morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea and cake, access into the beautiful garden a few of us will be selling fabrics, haberdashery and other such gorgeousness! What better way to spend a day?!
