The girls are now in, but again the heart ache still carrys on, another of our special girls our first ewe we bought for our flock, again the wet weather has been cruel, sadly caught pneumonia, again the vet called in for strong antibiotics, closely monitored she also aborted her twin lambs last Sunday, she has been very unwell bless her, but as you can see she has had special one to one with Dec my son in law, she is recovering slowly and will be back to the field soon πŸ‘πŸ‘

24/03/2024

Morning all, just an update of where we are..... It has taken us a couple of weeks to take in how cruel the wet weather has been to us this year, it is with great sadness that we have had to come to terms with the loss of one of our pregnant girls who was in fact carrying twins, she fell in the field after slipping on the mud by the hay feeder and broke her leg very badly , after long conversation with our vet it was decided to put her to sleep and out of pain,, this has broken us to lose one of our girls in this way... A very sad loss to totally cotswold 😭

19/03/2024

Good morning to everyone, we are so sorry we have not been around, although our wonderful girls have been having all the attention they deserve, we have also had to deal with an elderly mum 100 miles aways, not been easy as you can imagine. But we are back for lambing 2024, πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘Judy

Just wanted to share a sad story with a happy ending, with you all. A year ago this beautiful cotswold ewe gave birth to a ram lamb who sadly she rejected and he died it was her first lambing so we said we would try again, this year she was due twins, we were all on stand by incase something went wrong and sure enough it did, one perfect ewe lamb born and second one was backwards, with the effort of the team we got the ram lamb out but sadly he was dead, a tramatic time the ewe was checked by the vet, a bit of damage to mummy so sadly she could not produce milk, so we needed to step In quick and help, the bond however between tiny twin and her mum and human is amazing, she will never have any more lambs, but she will stay with tiny twin for 18 months and go on to show many orphans how to grow up, so she has now been named Gloria "song I will survive" love from all the team πŸ˜”πŸ˜”πŸ˜”πŸ˜”πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜ŠπŸ˜ŠπŸ˜ŠπŸ˜ŠπŸ˜ŠπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
