When you leave your husband unsupervised for 12 hours π
Flicking through some old photos and came across this one. This is Honey, a Golden Retriever x Irish red setter. The gentlest most intelligent dog there ever was. She passed away over 30 years ago but still missed and is still spoken of.
Our first dog, here before I was even thought of; she wouldn't let me hold her lead because I was younger than her.
Would lie under my pram when my mum was in the shop, a time where babies were parked outside and came flying out when a wee woman bent over the pram to see the baby π.
she wedged herself between me and the gas fire and singed all down one side of her coat.
I apparently tested out my newly cut teeth on her π±, thankfully I was forgiven π
Whilst we were out, helped herself to an entire haul of Easter eggs and survived . She had a pink square gouged out her nose when she got too close to a grumpy cat.
She would go cross eyed when "leaving" a slice of meat on each front paw. And insisted on carrying her tin of dog food up the hill from the shop.
She would come haring up the path to greet us home from school
I still remember the afternoon l came home and being told she had passed away. I believe her bowl, collar and bed (an old dark blue sleeping bag) is still in mum's loft somewhere. She was some girl.

Poor Onyx, I'm chuckling every time I look at her, without her ruff and hairy face, she looks like Dobby π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£π³ Esme doesn't look as drastic. But, believe me, it's worth it.
Novice ambitions
I fell in love with field sports a few years ago after watching a gundog demonstration. Once I had started looking up facts about these majestic athletes, I knew I wanted in, next i had to obtain and train these astute breeds, with a little help from long suffering family and the ever chirper pug Storm.
This page will offer you no expert advice , nor instruction or even grammer (spelling is a bit iffy too), but just the ramblings of one woman and her headstrong and annoyingly more intellegent dog (S!)
....Oh, and itβs probably polite to mention, I have professional help too, in dog training, not the other kind....although..
