"Angela spent time with us to discuss our requirements in detail. It wasn’t a straightforward project as we had a narrow east facing back garden and a long south and west facing side garden which sloped and had mature trees in adjacent neighbouring gardens. The location because of geography could also be fairly windy.

We wanted 3 very different socialising areas to mirror the suns movement throughout the day which would allow us to follow the sun from dawn to dusk whilst offering some protection from the wind. We also wanted a contemporary design with subtle lighting to paths, borders, and trees.

Angela came up with an imaginative design, which was visually well presented, this allowed us to visualize what the completed garden would look like. As part of the service a full planned specification was provided to ensure the landscaping company could exactly match her design and accurately quote for the job.

Everyone who has seen the finished garden has been extremely complimentary of the design and layout. The landscaping company told us the “specification” was to the inch and they felt it was the best design they had ever worked on.

Angela offered a “planting plan service”, but we opted to take that part of the project on ourselves. We enjoyed doing this as we had the time, being retired, but can definitely see the benefits of a professionally produced planting layout.

We are extremely delighted with the final result and would highly recommend Angela’s services. We would definitely work with her again."

Yesterday, I had a truly fantastic time at the RHS Tatton Flower Show. The event was a delightful celebration of all things horticulture and brought together a stunning array of beautiful plants.

What stood out the most for me was the commendable emphasis on environmentally friendly gardens. It was heartening to see how sustainability and eco-consciousness had taken center stage in the horticultural world. Numerous exhibits showcased innovative techniques for conserving water, reducing waste, and promoting biodiversity, all while maintaining the sheer beauty and allure of the gardens.

The show highlighted the importance of preserving our natural environment and the crucial role gardens play in supporting biodiversity and mitigating climate change. It served as a reminder that we can all make a positive impact on the planet by adopting more environmentally friendly approaches in our own gardens and landscapes.

Overall, the RHS Tatton Flower Show was an inspiring and enriching experience, leaving me with a renewed appreciation for the beauty our gardens can hold. And many many ideas to bring to the garden designs we create for you.

There are many different ways to create a beautiful family garden.
Here are a few ideas:

A vegetable garden is a great way to grow specialist varieties of vegetables and herbs, that are not always available in the supermarkets. It’s also a great way to teach kids about gardening and where food comes from.

We're looking for five community groups to create urban space transformations with a £2000 grant from Grow Wild

Are you part of a community, youth or voluntary group? Has your group got a project idea to help connect local people with the natural world? Do you know an urban space that would be ideal for a transformation? If the answer is yes - apply for a community project grant from Grow Wild and bring your group's ideas to life. You'll be helping us on our mission to bring people together to value and enjoy UK native plants.

What’s it all about?
In the UK we’re lucky to have a wonderful variety of native plant species. Not only do they bring colour and interest to our lives, they provide vital food sources and shelter for our insects, birds and other wildlife. Despite being rewarding to grow and experience, many of our UK native species are unfortunately in decline, particularly in more urban areas.

Grow Wild is offering grants of £2000 to five groups from across the UK who would like to help us change this, by transforming an urban space through planting and taking positive actions for nature.
