Year 6 have eaten their evening meal, toasted marshmallows on the campfire and they are now (hopefully) running off the last of their energy with a huge game of football!
Year 6 have all eaten a lovely lunch and taken part in two activities this morning. They will be problem solving and raft building this afternoon; they are really looking forward to the campfire tonight!
Year 6 are up and enjoying a hearty breakfast before starting a day of fun filled activities - let’s hope for a less soggy day for them!
Year 6 update.
Year 6 completed their first 2 activities this afternoon; unfortunately this was accompanied by lots of rain so they got very wet and muddy!
They are all full up after a lovely evening meal and are now enjoying a bit of free time in their rooms before lights out at 10pm.
Let’s hope they sleep well!
Year 6 have arrived safely at PGL - we hope they all have an amazing time!
Good luck to our Year 6s as they begin their SATs this week - remember you are welcome to join us for breakfast from 8am each morning.

Thank you to all who came to our EPS Arts Trail today after school. It was lovely to see the children proudly show off the masterpieces they had created with the help of some local artists.
A big THANK YOU to Miss Diver for all of her hard work and organisation to make this lovely event happen for our children.
Please come along to our EPS Arts Trail on Friday 19th April 3:30pm - 4:00pm.
The children have been working hard, with the help of local artists, to create their very own masterpieces.
We cannot wait to share their wonderful artwork with you!

Year 2 were so lucky to have a special visitor on Friday! A filmmaker, James Blake, came to talk to the children all about his expedition to Antarctica with real life explorers! Excitingly, he told the children all about how he was part of the team that located Ernest Shackleton's ship, Endurance, at the bottom of the Weddell Sea. They heard all about the weather conditions, how the team travelled through the ice on a large icebreaker ship and how they sent a robotic camera under the sea to capture the fantastic sight. He even showed them a video of how thick the ice was and the children were able to link that to our recent maths learning about metres (the ice was 5m thick!). We want to extend a huge thanks to James Blake for taking the time to come in and speak with some very excited children.

Squirrels' visited Tuppenny Barn today as part of their science learning about plants. They got to identify pond creatures and plants and taste a range of herbs and leaves such as coriander and rocket. They enjoyed making salt dough tiles by pressing herbs and created a 'smell stick' by sticking down herbs that they found in the gardens. They also learnt how to make a eco-friendly plant pot using newspaper and planted their own beetroot seeds. What a great day!
We have been told that the underpass linking Emsworth Park and Washington Road is flooded. We are aware that many of our families use this route to get to school; you may need your wellies or need to find an alternative route to school in the morning!
We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow!
What a FANTASTIC time we had with Kelly Simm!
We were very lucky to have Kelly Simm - Olympic GB Gymnast visit our school on Friday. The children thoroughly enjoyed her visit and all took part in the exercises. The children were wowed when watching Kelly perform her Olympic Gold winning routine(on the big screen).
Thank you to everyone who has raised money so far; we have raised over £1600!
We still have until Friday 9th February for you to bring any remaining sponsorship money to the school office.
