Carnelian : In antiquity, as well as today, Carnelian is believed to help timid speakers become both eloquent and bold. Ancient Warriors wore Carnelian around their neck for courage and physical power to conquer their enemies. In Egypt it was worn by master architects to show their rank of builder, and alchemists of the Middle Ages used it as a boiling stone to activate the energy of other Chalcedonies. As the first stone in the breastplate of the High Priest, it signified the blood of the martyrs, and was once believed to prevent illness and the Plague.

Jo and Perry's horse shoe was a delight to make. Fluorite, amethyst and natural turquoise brought balance to an already perfectly matched partnership :-)

Well...... He's grown a bit, but you still can't beat some Amethyst to take out a little bounce and bring some calm ;-)

Here's Max spending time with turquoise..... It has been used for thousands of years being one of the oldest protection stones, and was also known as a symbol of wealth in many ancient cultures. Strength, protection from harm, This healing stone is amazing as a confidence booster if your horse shows signs of being shy or nervous. This stone works to neutralize over-acidity within the body, viral infections, stomach issues, and Rheumatism, as well as stimulating muscular strength and growth. Turquoise is an excellent grounding stone as its vibrations give peace of mind. :-)

Indie at last showing some interest in Fluorite ;-) A great tool for enhancing advanced animal training techniques such as Touch and Contact Learning. It will sharpen coordination and help animals to focus their attention. It is a key crystal to help with the training of dressage horses, show-jumpers, agility dogs or any animal in intensive, precise training. Bringing clarity and helping with concentration it also helps improve the co-ordination of clumsy young animals that tend to barge into things and knock them over.

Tic-tac the Pygmy goat spending a little chill time with some Blue Lace Agate: Bringing a soft cool and calm energy, this is a wonderful stone for gentle healing. It works particularly well when used to treat the throat and neck area, helping neutralise inflammation, infection and fever. It is a calming and centering stone aiding nervous and worried dispositions. :-)

Made from Amethyst and Rose Quartz :)

Having studied crystals for the past two years to become a professional practitioner, I have gained an understanding of how crystals help throughout the animal kingdom bring our bodies and minds back into balance.

Holistically, they also help connect us with our animals and provide a valuable source of bonding and help when dealing with particular issues.

I am also a reiki master and am working with animal communication so 'Hippy Hooves' has been born bringing all these things together.

We can work with your shoe in a number of ways:-

Firstly send us a shoe previously worn by your horse which has your horse's unique imprint on the shoe. (Please remove all nails).

1. Should you know the colours or crystals you wish to use then we can make the shoe accordingly as we have a list of basic crystals and colours to work from.

2. Alternatively you may send a photo of your horse with the shoe which gives us an opportunity to tune into your horse and design the shoe according to their needs.

3. If you have a wish to work with something in particular (eg: you would like something to aid a calm, quiet connection for a hot horse) we can make your shoe to fit that requirement.

4. If you require a shoe for a gift for someone we can provide the shoe and design to requirements.

They are ideal to hang on stable doors etc (and look great on walls at home!) but please make sure they are out of reach of your horse (just in case they appear edible!) 😉

We are charging £35 plus packing and posting per shoe. As each shoe takes a couple of hours to make we feel this makes an affordable but unique purchase.
