Our first Dr Bike session will be held on the 20/12/23 at Unity Community Primary School, Cheetham, where the children will get their squeaky brakes fixed & their wheels rolling smoothly again for FREE!!

The repairs will be carried out by a qualified FEMALE mechanic🛠️who is ALSO an experienced cycling Instructor.
This workshop has been possible thanks to and . And of course Unity Community Primary who are very supportive of the local community. It’s Great partnership work for a much needed project!

CONFIDENCE RIDING SESSIONS
We have a few places left on our confidence riding sessions programme . This is for girls (11+ yrs) and ladies who can cycle already and want to develop their riding skills further and are a little out of practice.
These sessions will make you more confident ready for the Lead rides in the near future when we will ride on the road, supervised by Naz. All sessions will be delivered by Naz our qualified Cycling Instructor. She is extremely passionate about getting ladies into cycling and she's a brilliant Instructor too (check out feedback below).

These sessions will be STARTING on Thurs 10th August between 4-5.30pm and will be held at Unity Community Primary, Allesley Drive, M7 4YE.

Please only register if you can attend *EVERY THURSDAYS FOR EIGHT WEEKS. *

A big shout out to and ‘Cycle and Stride’ for believing in us and giving this great opportunity of encouraging women from the ethnic minority to develop their cycling skills and to become more active.

Also a big thank you to : for giving our non cyclers the opportunity to learn to cycle, many of whom are now pedalling just after two sessions. 💪🏽 It’s amazing to see!!❤️

In partnership with Unity Community Primary school, Cheetham , Manchester, we ran a coffee morning for parents & carers of SEND/neurodiverse children who attend the school on 26/4.

Representatives attended from who shared the great work they do and informed participants of the various services and support groups available in our Great city including the Space Group and the Local Offer who run lots of opportunities and initiatives during the school holidays.

We are looking forward to running regular coffee mornings at the school raising awareness on neuro diversity/SEND and offering a support platform for parents and carers to share and talk about their daily struggles and challenges.

Some Feedback from the girls who have been participating in the first two weeks of the 6 week NICAS accredited bouldering course at .

The girls look forward to the sessions and two of them travel by bus for 1.5 hrs just to join in. That's dedication!!

It's so nice to see the girls come out of their shell, feel more confident and engaging in the activity even more. This is the vision of the funders .

We have loved working with and since 2021, as they have allowed to further empower, engage and connect young girls via physical activities. It's a fantastic feeling indeed💕💪🏽

A massive Thanks to who funded this project, part of 'Girls on the Pitch!'
Back in May 22, the young ladies (Safia, Zainab and Merve), pitched their dream project idea and they smashed it. 💪🏽💪🏽

The girls participating feel that they are changing stereotypes around Muslim women in bouldering and proving that the hijab (head scarf) and being modestly dressed, does NOT STOP them and that they can achieve ANYTHING they set their mind to.

The girls will be starting their *NICAS accredited 6 week bouldering course* on Friday, thanks to the funding received from , part of 'Girls on the Pitch!'.
The pitch itself was launched,researched, planned and delivered by Merve , Zainab & safia .bobat

The Coaches- Lilly and Erica from were very supportive and very friendly indeed, making it easier for the girls to feel more relaxed and to enjoy the Taster session... And then want to return for the six week course. 💪🏽💪🏽 Thank you ladies!!

We will compare the feedback and the level of confidence etc- before starting the course and then at the end of the six weeks. It'll be very interesting.

A Taster session will be held on the 27/1/23.

2022 saw three young ladies from Alhilal qualify as Football Coaches and excel in their coaching skills, however we are looking to recruit more ladies and in various sports.

It's a great opportunity for ladies (from the ethnic minority) in Manchester to volunteer and then attain a sports qualification to teach/coach the girls and ladies (from the ethnic minority) sports and physical activities which Alhilal will continue to run for the community. If you just want to volunteer, that is possible too.

This is all thanks to & who made it happen for us at by believing in us and supporting us all the way. 💕

Also great support from Leigh who helped our coaches get trained to L1 and soon they’ll be embarking on L2.💪🏽💪🏽💕
