Ria's Ears
Unique and reversible handmade animal ears made by me. 75% of materials used are from Sue Ryder shops
Back at Deer Shed Festival lovely festival and people, our penultimate show for this year. Breeze is going down a storm and doing an amazing job as a therapy dog
Back at and the weather and company are gorgeous again. If you’re here, come and say hello xx
Trading at Alive & V-Dubbin Festival 2023 gorgeous weather and doesn’t feel like work when you have the best neighbour friends x
Ria's Ears will be trading at the following festivals in 2023, we are both very excited about being barefoot in the fields at these great shows. Hopefully we'll see plenty of familiar faces, will be joining us at all of the shows except for Glastonbury to give out free hugs, not long now x
We are really pleased to have donated £1,500 from the shows in 2022. We were hoping to donate more this year but sadly some of the shows didn’t go as well as we had hoped which is why this year we are a bit more selective of our festivals.
We have now donated nearly £4000 in the past few years from selling Ria’s Ears as well as spending hundreds of pounds buying clothes from local Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall shops for the materials. Thank you to everyone who has come to see us in 2022, we are looking forward to an even better 2023 so we will hopefully see some familiar and new faces soon.
Bring on the warm weather and festival season!!!

It’s official! Ria’s Ears™️ 🥰
Probably our final show of the season but it looks like a fantastic one, we are here at for the first time in a brilliant spot. Loads of friends here and the vibe is pretty much perfect. Really sad we aren’t at Campsoul, we will miss the family, hope everyone has a lovely long weekend x
Such a lovely crowd here, one of the friendliest we have ever traded at. Breeze the therapy dog has gone down a storm and made many people smile. Proud parents 🥰
We are here at Latitude with a fantastic view, come and see us for your furry ear needs.
Had a really nice time trading at Camperjam, it was very last minute after coming back from Glastonbury so sorry if we didn’t get to catch up with everyone. For those we did, lovely to see you again and welcome to all the new members of the Ria’s Ears family!
On a side note, Breeze won 1st prize for waggiest tail in the dog show and I think was very close to the being the best in show, but I’m slightly biased xx
Finally after what was just a dream 5 years ago, we are trading the atmosphere is amazing as is the love for the ears. Here is to hopefully what will be a weekend to remember, special thanks to who is helping me and - we are definitely going to need his help and support over the next 4 days!

We were lucky enough to get a mention on the Chris Moyles show again yesterday morning so they could tell the listeners where we are trading at Glastonbury and despite the jokes, they have been brilliant at supporting us and have read every letter sent in, we are very grateful to them.
This time next Friday we will hopefully be rushed off our feet, the weather and vibe is already looking fantastic.
We will send pictures of the stall next Wednesday once we are all setup, very excited now.
Have a great weekend everyone xx
Had a lovely time at this weekend making new friends and selling ears. First ever festival for and she was a very good girl. Thanks to and for setting up and manning the stall whilst I was stitching at home ready for . One week today….
Sue Ryder did a lovely write up on Ria's Ears recently, Peterborough Matters shared it yesterday and I've just been told I'll be interviewed on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire breakfast show tomorrow morning (Thursday) at 7:35am.
If you want to hear me nervously laugh and probably repeat myself you can also listen online at https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/live:bbc_radio_cambridge
😬
Funky festival ears help Peterborough couple raise funds for Sue Ryder hospice Ria and Paul Wise are the makers of Ria’s Ears – fun, upcycled headbands with attached furry ears to be worn at festivals and shows raising money for charity.
A brand new season is nearly here and we are really excited to be trading at 8 new shows in 2022. Hopefully we’ll get to see a lot more people than we have in the past 2 years, we also cannot wait to bring along for her first ever festival season xx
So pleased we get to help such a fantastic charity whilst doing what we love x
Today we donated our cheque for Sue Ryder from the festivals in 2020, due to Covid we could only really trade from July so we are pleased to have raised this much although we did round it up a little 😀. We have a few big shows this year along with Glastonbury which we will announce soon so hopefully we will be able to donate much more at the end of this season, fingers crossed x
We are delighted, proud and very nervous to announce that we have been offered a trading pitch at this years Glastonbury Festival. We have both worked hard over the past few years to get Ria's Ears to this stage and it feels fantastic. This also potentially means that now we have been accepted, we should be in every year which is life changing for us.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us along this crazy journey, we took a few knocks early on but came back stronger and now have the ultimate reward.
With this as well, it means we should hopefully be in a position to give a generous donation to Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall each year compared to the recent ones so this is great for them as well as us.
We have been offered a fantastic spot right on the corner in Williams Green opposite the main showers and next to "The Meeting Point" and is on the main walkway to the Pyramid Stage. It would be great to meet some of our followers and look forward to seeing you there.
I’d best get back to sewing now!
A very nervous and excited Ria of Ria’s Ears xx

Definitely our final show 😁
Loving this Indian summer and hopefully another beautiful day at Retrodubsuffolk
*HELP NEEDED PLEASE*
Hello all, sadly with the lack of shows this year we’re not going to be able to donate our minimum target of £1000 to Sue Ryder normally we would round it up but we’re just too far off and we cannot afford it at the moment. What we would like to do and help make up for the shortfall is to donate 250 pairs of ears to a children’s hospice as it will hopefully cheer some of them up a little. If they go down well, we will look at doing it each year. Sue Ryder doesn’t have a children’s hospice anymore so I didn’t know if anyone knows anyone who works at one and could put us in touch (ideally local to Peterborough). We’ve been told Birmingham has one that’s national but I feel with Covid we may have to jump through a lot of hoops to get them in or speak to someone which is understandable x
We’re at VDubs in the valley which sadly could be our last show of the season. It’s been fantastic catching up with friends and traders we haven’t seen for 2 years. Things could get a bit messy!
At our first ever Dogfest, we stick out like a sore thumb and are already getting weird looks. A lot of people wearing walking boots but lots and lots of gorgeous dogs. Mass confusion as to whether the ears are for dogs or humans so let’s see what happens!
