FT FaGSoc FC 1-2 Hispanics FC

A solid performance from the F**s undone by dubious penalty.

FaGSoc were denied their first win of the season against a solid Hispanics team. After starting brightly and dominating the midfield, FaGSoc were pushing for an early lead with last minute signing Ben 'The Leaping Salmon' Standish taking the ball round the keeper, only to be denied by a last ditch clearance off the line.

Despite the onslaught of FaG pressure, Hispanics held themselves together at the back and managed to breakaway down the right wing. A cooly placed ball down the line led to the Spaniards finding themselves in unknown territory and, thanks to 'rumoured Spanish and Portugese student' referee, managed to bag themselves a very questionable handball. 0-1 Hispanics.

Hispanics began to get themselves back into the game after this, however chances were very limited as they struggled to break down the resolute FaG defence. James 'Junior' Jowett ended the half with a double post/crossbar effort, but a pair of Iker Casillas-esque saves managed to keep Hispanics one up going into half time.

After a rousing team talk from Jake 'Stone Cold' Stanley, the F**s appeared reinvigorated going into the second half, with the tempo upped and a sheer domination of possession, a controversial 'rip in the ball' put an end to the FaGtastic footballing master class. With subs made by both teams, the game recommenced. Fabian the Grimm Reaper came on to make his debut in replace of a solid Thomas 'not a' Doughty, making a big impact from the beginning with electric pace and Swiss like efficiency.

The FaG's looked on the ropes, the German efficiency had vanished and the Hispanics were starting to push for a 2nd, however excellent play between the bombarding right back Ben 'Not a Keeper' Robinson and Jan 'Stepover' Sienkiewicz led to a late foul by Gerard Piqué's love child, FaGSoc penalty.

The Leaping Salmon stepped up, 1-1.

Unfortunately, the well earned goal lasted only a few minutes as Hispanics played a long ball over the top, leading to a wonder strike. 1-2 Hispanics. Despite the final 10 minutes of yet another FaG masterclass, it just wasn't to be and Hispanics took the points.

Man of the Match- Ben 'Not a Keeper' Robinson.

The two services they offer are after-school childcare with a bilingual student and language tuition for exam preparation (i.e. GCSEs/ A levels). They already have clients looking to get their after-school care sorted with University of Nottingham students ahead of September and there is demand for a variety of languages, so if you are interested in applying please email [email protected] for an application form or alternatively drop us a message for more information. Have a good summer x
