Day 5 of Volunteers weekโฆโฆthe majority of our volunteers use their own vehicles to make deliveries but we are very proud of our liveried fleet which are used for regular tasks like daily air ambulance replenishment, medicine deliveries, donated human milk collections, events and presentations.
The vehicles have an allocated custodian but they can be used by any of our volunteers when on duty.
All our vehicles are named after loved ones, most have been generously donated by our supporters who continue to donate to cover their running costs.
Tonight we are at Krazy Horse late night, the sun is shining and it promises to be a great night,do pop by and say hi ๐๐
Weโve packed our bucket and spade and will see you there!
Only 3 days until 2024 Felixstowe 999 Emergency Services Day.
Look forward to seeing you at the Beachside Events Area between 10.00am and 4.30pm this coming Saturday.
Day 3 of volunteers week and we are highlighting those who enable us to offer the services we provide.
We have a team of controllers who do 12 hour shifts answering the phone, organising the tasks, allocating the responders, monitoring their progress of collecting, delivering and recording the completed task on our database.
Itโs a full on busy role and often involves talking to other groups to set up rendezvous points across the country covering hundreds of miles.
