Men's Mental Health Awareness Campaign Video
Back in November, the Welfare Network ran a campaign to raise awareness for Men's Mental Health, supported by UoN Welfare in Sport and Men's Health active (University of Nottingham Disability Sport).
During that time, we united people across the University of Nottingham through challenges aimed at raising the profile of men's mental health. University of Nottingham Sport Teams helped to do this by promoting the statistics through challenges based on the following figures:
- 76% of suicide are men
- 28% of men had not sought medical help for the last mental health problem they experienced
- Amongst men with mental health concerns, 46% are embarrassed or ashamed
- If asked only 19% of men would report being diagnosed with a mental health disorder
- 1 in 8 (12.5%) men in the UK suffer from mental health disorders
We have been working hard with Ben Clark to produce this amazing video! This campaign would have been nothing without the passion and dedication of all those involved and we cannot thank you enough for your help!
