Working from home vibes 🤣

Carrie is working from home as she has no childcare-which means the dogs get to have fun playing dress up with Harry 🫣

Please be aware that we are working limited hours this week. You will get replys just at random hours of the day-usually when the kids are asleep!

Thankfully the girls are holding down the admin and the office while we juggle kids, summer activities, dogs, billions or emails and whatsapps

Stay sane out there working parents-its only just begun!

Truth Tuesday 🫶

The juggle is real..The truth about our lives right now!

We are part way through the season and moving the bridal shop, are we crazy?
Add in that Carrie has finally exchanged on her house today and moves next week.
We have close family members unwell.
One child to get ready for university.
Houses to look after (the pile of washing is becoming a mountain)
Plus school holidays start Friday, and we have no childcare and if we’re not crazy we think we could be in a few weeks time.

The truth is we run two businesses, have children and the balance is hard. If we don’t answer emails or WhatsApp’s straight away please understand we have a lot going on right now, we need to spend some time with our families and we are not superhuman (although Carrie likes to think she)

We will ensure your day is fabulous, that is always our priority, we will get everything complete to the highest standards but in the background the truth is we have a lot going on and we are human doing our best for everyone around us. We are currently fuelled by passion, alcohol and caffeine ❤️🫶💪

DID YOU KNOW....

A lot of our weddings this season have been much larger in scale, with more suppliers, bigger builds and more logistics-especially our full planning ones.

This means that the build of a wedding often starts on a Wednesday and gets packed down on a Sunday or Monday - One wedding alone can take us out of the office for up to 6 days between the team!

Carrie also does all our accounts, invoicing, HR as well as being the head planner. She works most evenings to fit calls in with clients-there are just not enough hours in a day at the moment! (And no we aren’t complaining about being busy 🫶)

We have taken on more floristry, many with large scale installations- taking longer to make things and produce and taking up alot of Rachel’s time, as well as doing all the props and styling. Floristry has become super popular so Rachel can’t coordinate as much this season-it also means much more invoicing and accounts for carrie!

Oh yeah and dont forget we also run @1840.bridal !

Carrie often needs to be office based to keep the heart of the business going and Rachel is often up at 5am and swinging off ladders and knee deep in flowers!

SO IT’S A GOOD JOB WE NOW HAVE AN EPIC TEAM!

-Flossy, Maisie, Alanna, Nicola are all fully trained in pre event and on the day coordination, as well as many other aspects of the wedding world! All forward thinking and none of them shy of the less glamorous hard work that big events bring.
Detailed notes get passed over, with site plans, CAD drawings, suppliers contacts, a time table from the set up day through to the pack down day-nothing gets missed to provide the staff, suppliers and clients with the smoothest process possible. Obviously elements like the weather we cant control-but nothing that our Plan B notes can’t handle!

-just ask the other suppliers, they are super sad when Wed & Prosper aren’t on site with them!

The feeback about our staff this season has been amazing and we are so proud of them 🙌💗

🖤 162 guests which went to about 300 in the evening!
🖤 16 tables of flowers and 1 top table display by us.
🖤 1 giant fluffy gyp and disco ball cloud by us.
🖤 All the stationery designed by us - including flags, invites, table plan guest names, menus etc and hand tied ribbon by us.
🖤 Over 200 metres of draping hung by us
🖤 Over 5 DJ sets including and the newlyweds themselves!
🖤The most delicious food by
🖤 1 huge rave- thanks to who hired out all their equipment with their team on duty.

Heads will be sore today-but so worth the memories!!

Its July and we have 32 weddings left to go until september!

In the next 2 weeks we will cross 6 off those off!

Please bare with us whilst we get through them- the whole team will be on set ups this week and next.
After the 14th July things calm down ever so slightly for a few weeks!

Our bodys ache but our smiles are big! 🤪🥰

HAPPY MONDAY

The first ever legal ceremony to take place on the lawn at the back of .house yesterday for our full planning clients.

The weather was 👌☀️

Just because it hasnt been done before,doesnt mean that we cant make it happen 💪🥰

We also provided large high greenery installations at both ends of the grand hall and sent a team over to do the room pack down and change over 💪

Our first wedding and wow what a forest rave!

The weather made it a hard set up for everyone involved, with high winds, rain and mud! But as always we got it done, and look at the glorious weather they had in the end!

Welcome drinks held under the forest woodland, followed by the main reception and party in the bunkers under the stretch tents.

Our ladies Mais, Flossy and Macy made 160 freshly shaken espresso martini shots to go with dessert and ran the cocktail bar all night long.

Carrie stayed onsite the whole day and night to oversee the whole event.

POWER- you can’t just go plugging any old thing in, and you dont want a power cut during the party!

SIZE IS ALWAYS IMPORTANT- Make sure you have worked out how big things are, the space you have and the design before set up days.

NO HANGRY GUESTS! No one wants grumpy hungry guests!

Loved the stunning colours of the flowers on this wedding cake at East Afton Farmhouse. The flowers and the whole set-up by Wed and Prosper UK looked absolutely stunning.
