WOW!! Just finished watching. One of the best things I've seen in years. A seriously impressive achievement. Engrossing storytelling, kinetic, visually stunning from first frame to last, surprisingly funny and truly deserving of the mantle: Epic! I'm almost hesitant to shower this one with so much praise so soon after my initial viewing but I think this may be one of those rare examples of a faultless movie.

In case you missed it, here's last years Christmas video, an in-depth look at Richard Curtis' 2003 comedy Love Actually. The funny thing is, all though I believe the film to be utter trash on a technical level and I believe I present a strong case as to why in the video itself, in the course of making it I developed a soft spot for the film. It's become kind of a guilty pleasure and one I'm kind of looking forward to watching over the Christmas period . . . but it is utter trash. Enjoy folks!

Surprised how much I liked Spencer. Wasn't expecting a film about Princess Di to be influenced by The Shining to the extent this was. Superb performance by Kristen Stewart also.

Highly recommend Nightmare Alley. Guillermo Del Toro does film noir and does it well. Make sure you stick around for the F'ed-up ending though.

Anyone caught this little animated show recently? Funny, bizarre, non-offensive and beautifully animated in the style of old-school Disney.
