Got a thing about Tulips at the moment. These have faded into some lovely soft colours and shapes. Goes well with .art on my wall I thought!
I’m not sure how well the tulip bulbs in my garden pots are doing - seem a bit ominously soggy….

Brilliant for Christmas Shopping. From Beard Oil and Bottle Openers, to recipe books, children’s books, decorations, cards, and even some fab clothes to brighten your festive wardrobe. The team behind the pop up shop will be there on Friday afternoon if you fancy shopping, and dropping by to say hi

This is your last week before Christmas to visit our pop up shop! We have some fantastic gifts still in stock - paintings, calendars, tea towels, decorations, clothes and gifts made from upcycled saris, soap dishes, plant pots, jewellery, upcycled wooden coasters, and so much more!

Our shop features 25 local makers - open during our usual opening hours this week, closing 3:30pm on Friday 22nd. The shop will remain open for the first week of Jan :)

⏰ Pop up shop open until 3:30pm Friday 22nd Dec, and again Tues 2nd - Sat 6th January 2024. Our opening times are Mon-Fri 10:30-3:30 and Saturday 10:30-1pm.

An utterly fabulous line up during August - book now!

During August, Open Door is inviting the community in to experience the wealth of Creative Talent amongst its artists, tutors, volunteers, hirers and pupils!

Open Door is awash with talent, and to showcase this, from 31st July – 26th August 2023, Open Door’s gallery walls will be filled with work from a breadth of people in the Open Door family. Featuring drawings, pottery, needle felting, crochet, paintings – the list goes on…

To further exhibit the vast creativity that goes on at Open Door, tutors and hirers are laying on a variety of free workshops throughout the month – they are all suitable for children and adults, and all free of charge – a brilliant way to try new things, or keep the kids occupied this summer!

Calling artists. Open Door is waiting for your submissions for 2D and 3D work on the theme SpringTime.
I’ll be putting their show together and am really looking forward to seeing your submissions.
I know that sometimes 3D makers find it awkward to fit to a theme sometimes but I’m calling potters, jewellers, textile artists, paper artists, glass artists - think spring colours, spring flowers, think “the essence of spring”

Really interesting tour round Prospect Cottage today. Brilliant tour guides. Beautiful blue skies, bone chilling windchill!
