Last night I was the host of the premiere of Sunderland Till I Die season 3 at the Fire Station. It was a great celebration of the series and the city and very interesting to find out more about the plans for the film studios at Pallion. And Luke O’Nien is as lovely as you’d expect him to be 👍

It was much sunnier yesterday for the Boxing Day Dip than it is today!

There was a big turnout from the participants and the spectators. One of my favourite Sunderland traditions.

I’ve just come across this at Emmy’s Coffee Pod at Roker.

It’s a passion fruit and apricot slice - pink slice for middle class people.

It was delicious.

You should always be grateful for what you get at Christmas.

Some people are getting Newcastle shirts.

Roker beach this morning.

There's a triathlon on this weekend with athletes from across the country here to see our beautiful coastline. Come down and give them a cheer.

What I love about the phrase 'why aye' is that its 2 meanings are direct opposites.

It all comes down to how you say it:

👍 Agreement - voice gets higher as you say it

👎 Disagreement/disbelief - voice gets lower

Are there any other Mackem words or phrases like this?

After 14 long, hard months, we're back. And at a crucial time too.

Enjoy the experience again. Make the SoL sound like it's packed to the rafters. And roar us on to Wembley.

👊 Ha'way the lads 👊

Welcome to Sunderland (if you come by sea)

Richard Moss on Twitter 12/04/2021

As non-essential shops reopen today, here’s a reminder of this classic bit of telly from last summer’s reopening: https://twitter.com/bbcrichardmoss/status/1272558221685858304?s=21

Richard Moss on Twitter “Shoppers in Sunderland were mostly enthusiastic and happy today at the return of non-essential retail despite social distancing and some queues. There was though the odd exception... https://t.co/OEFC0cQKox”
