Believe it or not, I bought these chairs back in 2022 from a lovely lady who was clearing her parents home. Not knowing what to do with them, she listed them on eBay.
Fast forward until today and they have finally returned back to her. When she realised we were an upholstery shop, she bought them back and commissioned us to restore them.
I canāt wait to hear what her 91 year old Dad thinks of them when he sees them again in their new garb, heās owned them since new and thought they were gone forever.
I donāt think they were ever meant to leave the family š«¶š¼
A beautiful set of His & Herās Victorian Parlour chairs that would have been part of a full suite of furniture in its day. Freshly reupholstered in an opulent Green Velvet - donāt they look swellā¦

What a transformation itās made to this these beautiful French Style Chairs.
I wouldnāt overly recommended using curtain fabric for upholstery, due to durability. However this fabric had a good weight to it and the chairs will endure very light use - so why not use something youāve saved to create something beautiful š¤©

A Morris Chair is an early type of reclining chair. The design was adapted by William Morrisās firm, Morris & Company, from a prototype owned by Ephraim Colman in rural Sussex, England. It was first marketed around 1866.
