Elisabeth’s Story

Elisabeth's Foundation is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation in England (Registration No. 1177440). To donate please go to: www.elisabethsfoundation.org.uk

Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of people under 40.
They kill more children than Leukaemia.
Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) is the worst. Over 4,000 children are diagnosed every year with DIPG.
99.9% of those diagnosed die, on average 9.5 months after diagnosis.
Which hasn't changed since the early 1960's.
Elisabeth, a beautiful eight year old, is one of those diagnosed. But Elisabeth was diagnosed in 2015.
And recently Elisabeth went back to school - full time!

Elisabeth has so far undergone over 20 different treatments, using different drug delivery pathways, combining multiple drug aggregations administered in an optimally sequenced programme of therapy.

Our key aims are to save lives, to extend lives, and to change the global standard of care philosophy that has failed to improve therapy and efficacy in this and similar brain diseases for decades.
