JUST ADDED:
Lukas Neilson's review and Stacey Auld's photos from the first of two sold out nights for Pierce The Veil, dayseeker and Holding Absence are now all up on musicboxunwinds.co.uk
"Over the last couple of years, Pierce the Veil have returned to full-time status as a band after an extended hiatus. Before 2023’s “The Jaws of Life”, it had been just shy of 7 years since their last studio release, and their live performances also took a considerable pause between 2017 and 2022. This UK tour is their second in recent years that has come up north, but it’s also their biggest yet, bringing their emo-tinged post-hardcore to the Barrowland Ballroom for two massive sold-out nights."
Go check it all out!
Lukas Neilson's review of Knuckle Puck in Glasgow's The Classic Grand on Sunday March 24th 2024 is now available on the site!
"Opening with the tumultuously powerful The Tower, the undeniably massive No Good, and the self-analysing Tune You Out demonstrates their ability to put forward their feelings with their distinctive pop-punk vitality."

Lukas Neilson reviewed Greg Puciato's show in Glasgow on Monday night in the legendary venue, King Tuts Wah Wah Hut!
Here's a snippet:
"Greg Puciato has never been one to do things in half-measures. After a long tenure in The Dillinger Escape Plan, his focus has since been split among a multitude of projects; his electronic outfit The Black Queen, the metal supergroup Killer Be Killed, and more recently the hardcore punk band Better Lovers (featuring several ex-members of Every Time I Die). As if that wasn’t enough, Puciato also found time to release material under his own name, releasing two full-length albums and an EP over the last four years. As Better Lovers get ready to release their first studio album later this year, Greg Puciato takes this space in his schedule to get a solo UK tour under his belt, bringing New York industrial outfit Trace Amount and some local acts along for the ride."
Head on over to musicboxunwinds.co.uk to read the full write up about Greg Puciato and his support acts Trace Amount and Moni Jitchell
Surprisingly managed to salvage some photos of Trace Amount in King Tuts on Monday.
Was a really tough show to shoot due to the lighting…or lack there of. Glad some worked out!
musicboxunwinds.co.uk
Greg Puciato’s first support was local duo Moni Jitchell!
Photos of their set are now up on musicboxunwinds.co.uk
I’m hoping I’ll be able to salvage some of Trace Amount but the lighting was basically non existent 😢
Last night meant it was finally the return of Greg Puciato to Glasgow! Greg and his band were just immense and were such a fun band to watch. Bass player then bass both ended up crowd surfing as well as Greg himself ha!

It's been many years since Citizen were last in Scotland and they definitely made up for all that lost time. Such an amazing atmosphere between the band and the crowd. Hope it won't be another while before they are back here.
All photos of Citizen and their support, Drug Church, are all available in photo section. Pop on over and have a look, if you were at the gig, you might even see yourself in a photo or two!

DRUG CHURCН !!
I have liked Drug Church for a little while now and last night they stomped all over St Luke's stage in Glasgow and I instantly fell in love with them. What an energy and passion these guys have. Found myself grinning like a maniac for their whole set.
Some photos from their set are now up

If you are to ever just go and watch/listen to one tribute band in your life, it has to be Bat Sabbath! The guys in Cancer Bats are the brains and band behind such an incredible tribute. With their own spin on some of the most iconic songs in metal, it doesn't get much better. Photos of their Glasgow show are now up in the photo section and Lukas will have a review up shortly. Go have a peek!

Ruby Waters is one of the best support acts I’ve heard in a long time. Perfect support for City and Colour
Been listening to Ruby for a few months now and was really looking forward to hearing the songs live and it did not disappoint!

Revisiting shows I’ve photographed through the years.
It still baffles me beyond belief that I’ve been lucky enough to photograph the legendary Fleetwood Mac twice! So glad Christine McVie came back for the second time round. Not ashamed to say I bawled my eyes out when I heard John’s bass line in The Chain for the first time live. What a band 🖤
Last couple of photos are from the first show in 2013, the rest are 2013. They were tough shows to shoot because my lens wasnt compatible with my camera so had to manually focus as best I could and it was from the sound desk 😱
I was clearing out my old hard drives and revisited my photos of Lights when she came to King Tuts way back in 2015! Can’t believe been almost 10 years!
All my photos of Hanson supporting Busted on their 20th Anniversary in Glasgow's OVO Hydro are now online.
Well worth the 26 year wait.
Go check them out :)

PHOTOS: Hanson Live at the OVO Hydro, Glasgow It makes me feel old to type this but 26 years after first hearing Hanson and becoming obsessed with them at the age of eight, I finally got to see them live as well as photograph them. Was totally worth the wait and they still look like they're having the best time when they're performing. Check ou...
On the week we turned 16, we headed to the OVO Hydro to photograph Busted on their 20th Anniversary tour.
The night was full of nostalgia which was also emphasised by Hanson being their main support. Eight year old me was absolutely freaking out! Zac Hanson was my childhood crush so was quite a sweet night.
My photos of Hanson are still to come up but photos of Busted are online now!
Pop over to the photo section and have a look!

Really hoped to have had this done last week but life got in the way so huge apologies!
REVIEW: Culann // Songs of Saints and Reivers Brand new EP, 'Songs of Saints & Reivers' from Ayrshire band, Culann.
WE ARE 16 YEARS OLD!!
Check out the new blog for the thank you and update!
we are 16 years old! Where have those years gone? MBU was started in 2007 as a little page on Myspace as a way to fangirl and promote the bands that I was really into. I never really planned for it to go the way it did and never in a hundred years did I ever expect to cover some of my lifelong favourites. As someone who...
The wait for Culann's new EP ‘Saints & Reivers’ is almost over! Their stunning new video for their cracking first track from the EP debuted yesterday.

Our Story
Music Box Unwinds covered shows from all over the UK as well as America and Canada but after ten years of running the site, we took a hiatus to focus on other things. Been missing it a lot so decided it was about time we brought it back.
MBU will now focus on more than just music, we will be covering Film and Television and highlighting the best on our screens as well as behind the scenes.
Can’t wait to get things going again.
Thanks Everyone!
Stacey
