One of our amazing young supporters totally unprompted has gone out of his way to organise this fantastic chess event in order to help raise funds for our appeal.

We are really proud and thankful to Alex for going out of his way and giving up his time to arrange this.

Scout Pride 2024 Badge Scouts welcomes everyone, regardless of gender identity or sexuality. To help celebrate the inclusion and diversity we’re so proud of, we're really pleased to have launched a brand new range that can be displayed as we get back out in the community supporting and attending Pride events across the nations in 2024.

Putting on an event like Ilkley Pride isn't easy. Most of the work is done now and we're in our final stages of organising this year's event but we could still do with extra help on the day itself.

OTLEY YOUTH DROP-IN - Tuesday 21st May - 3pm - 4.30pm

The Drop-In will be open on Tuesday afternoon for all Year 7 to Year 9 students.

Loads of games and activities (table tennis, table football, computer and board games), free food, chill-zone and tuck shop.

The Drop-In is run by Leeds Faith in Schools with volunteer support (all DBS checked) drawn from the following Otley churches;

Otley Parish Church
Otley Catholic Church.
Otley Methodist Church
Otley New Life Church.
Otley Bridge Church

Entrance is through the blue door on Cattle Market Street.

Wharfedale scouts battle it out in traditional torch race THE Wharfedale District Scout and Explorer Scout Sam Ives Torch Race took place on Friday, May 10.

Our Breakfast and Car Wash event is this SATURDAY!!! 9 - 12 at The Malt Shovel, Menston

Menston Scouts and Guides are charging £10 per car so come and get your car washed by our enthusiastic bunch!

The Malt will be selling tea, coffee, bacon and sausage butties. These items have kindly been donated by The Pantry, Menston and The Malt Shovel.

We’ll also have a table selling juices and baked goods.

⭐️ ALL MONIES RAISED GO TOWARDS A NEW SCOUTING & GUIDING HQ IN MENSTON.

The Award of Merit was presented to two of our scout leaders at the annual Wharfedale Scouts St George’s Day Honours Evening. Lucy Wilkinson and Mike Fawcett are seen here with Alan Pratt, Otley Methodist’s Group scout leader.

If you are in Otley to watch the marathon on Sunday, our scout leaders will be staying up all night on Saturday smoking some delicious, slow-cooked pulled pork which will make some amazing sandwiches served alongside a tangy, home made coleslaw.

All proceeds will go to the Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease Appeal.
