❣️At Home With Junk & Disorderly… Have you been yet?
With 18 years of experience in trading, Louise has built a loyal clientele who appreciate her personalised approach, but Junk & Disorderly is a most definitely a team effort, Millie & Polly, also run this haven of goods! 😋
We asked them: “What is your favourite part about trading within Berwick-Upon-Tweed?”
“We love being in-store, talking with our customers, and understanding their needs. Our regular customers know that every visit to At Home with Junk & Disorderly is an opportunity to find something unique. We prioritise second-hand, repurposed, and handmade items from independent creators, making sure each product has its own story and adds a touch of authenticity to your home.”
Situated on Marygate, we absolutely adore the cosiness of the shop, but beware, once you start shopping, you may not stop..! ✋
What a perfect weekend at Paxton House Antiques Fair 🙌.
60+ antique dealers took to the grounds of Paxton House, and what a wonderful time we had. We explored all sorts of antiques, some dating back to the 1700s.
Bravo to Seppe, Tall & Small Paul, and Dennis for their hard work, and bringing Berwick-Upon-Tweed and Paxton a top-notch display of the antique trade.
We finished the day with scrumptious dinner at The Cross Inn Pub & Eating House.
A special mention to for looking spectacular on this particular day. 👏
📍The next fair is 16th - 18th August!

Berwick: More than just the Tweed.
Rojo Berwick would like traders and customers to wear clothes in their wardrobes they normally don’t dare to put on. If you’re running errands, manning the shop floor, going for a coffee, whatever the reason.
We will be participating, bringing out personality, color, creativity, subjectivity is a reflection of the town’s personality that has been begging to shine through for a long time. To help with exposure, we have to let not only our businesses shine through but also the charm of Berwick.
Will you be involved? Let us know!
Soon approaching the Bridge 400 weekend on the 3rd & 4th of August, these photos are spectacular Darren. 😆
Trying not to toot our own horn, but on every journey we've been on, there are audible gasps and phone pulls when the train is going over the Royal Border Bridge. 😆
You know you're in for a treat when you come around that curve onto the Royal Border Bridge, enjoying the view out to sea with the sun glinting over the Tweed as you prepare to step off the train in Berwick...

👋Okay, we could only give you a little bit of information on Good Times Bike Hire on our reel as we wanted you to come along on the experience with us before we started on the details!
👉🏼You can hire a bike even if you are not a visitor in the area! (We personally couldn’t wait to try an E-Bike in the sunshine, the feeling is the equivalent of hearing Linger by the Cranberries for the first time, and saying that, a less sweaty experience of a summer cycle).
👉🏼Onto the second bit of info! There aren’t just E-bikes available, if you’re looking to actually go for your usual bike or are used to a certain feel, there is too a range of quality Mountain bikes, Hybrids and Kids bikes for hire (to bring the wee ones along).
👉🏼You can pick up your bikes from their hub in Scremerston near Berwick-upon-Tweed, or they deliver and pick up across North Northumberland and the Scottish Borders (within 25 miles of Berwick) !!
👉🏼Finally; if you’re like us, not too sure what routes are the best to take, away from traffic and offer a much more scenic route, there are easy-to-follow recommended routes, including good food recommendations on the way.
🚴♀️We took the Holy Island route, stopped for mid-way grub at The Barn at Beal, and then headed onto the Island. (Even saw Danny Boyle’s film-set, we love the attention this beautiful area is getting at the minute, Countryfile, and then onto Hollywood movies!?) It was a wonderful experience for us, no discomfort, and a little bit moreish must we say..! Watch this space. 👀

🎨Last night we attended the launch of the Granary Gallery’s Lowry and the Sea exhibition. Lowry’s connections with Berwick are depicted richly, it was brilliant to see his artwork on display here in Berwick. You can book your tickets through the link below.

“Exploring the artist’s connection to Berwick and his lifelong fascination with the sea, the exhibition includes works on loan from The Lowry, Salford, The Arts Council Collection and several private collections, and is the first curated exhibition of his works in the town for 10 years.”
