Brilliant day out at the River today. Missed the opportunity to post this morning as we were flat out since the doors opened 😃. Great event with lots of fantastic cars on display 🚗

This week it's the time to show off based in Ballater. We've got a large range of their coffee's in Roots and there are so many delicious roasts to choose from! We'll be offering free samples of one of their coffees today so make sure you've a few minutes spare when you come in today to try one!

Here's some info on Roaring Stag Coffee Roasters:

Roaring Stag Coffee Roasters are speciality coffee roasters based in Ballater, Royal Deeside in the heart of the Cairngorm Mountains. Established in 2015 by Chris and Moira, now run by Ruaridh who took on the business in April 2023. having served 14 years in the Army Ruaridh decided to follow a new path, roasting coffee! Passionate and with a great love for top quality coffee Ruaridh aspires to offer nothing but the highest standards.

We roast regularly which allows our coffees to stay in perfect condition as well as taste great. We create beautiful blends using the finest beans as well as single origin roasts. All of our green beans are ethically sourced and we use fully recyclable packaging. With a wealth of experience and help behind us you can be sure of only the best service and produce.

We currently have in stock:

☕BALLATER ROAST
A medium roast with hints red berries and luxurious dark chocolate. Good body.

☕ BEN MACDUI ROAST
Allowed to develop in the roasting process to produce a full flavour. Ideal for espresso coffees

☕CAIRNGORM ROAST
A medium roast, full of life and citrus fruits with a hint of cherries. Medium body

☕DARK LOCHNAGAR ROAST
An exceptionally fine coffee with hints of red berries, good body and dark chocolate finish. This is very similar to the Lochnagar Coffee but it's been roasted slightly longer.

☕ETHIOPIAN YIRGACHEFFE ROAST
From the birthplace of coffee this wet processed sought after Arabica displays a range of wonderful flavours. Fruity acidity, wine undertones with medium body. Very smooth.

☕KENYAN BLUE MOUNTAIN
Grown on the sides of Kilimanjaro this sought after coffee provides an astounding blackcurrant and chocolate flavour. Smooth and uplifting with a medium to light body.

☕LOCHNAGAR ROAST
An exceptionally fine coffee with hints of red berries, good body and dark chocolate finish. South American Arabica Beans. A very popular coffee.

We have whole beans and ground available for most of the above coffees. Please give us your feedback on these coffees and we'll know which ones to stock more of in the future!

Roaring Stag's Roastery will be taking a short break from 5th January 2024 - 17th January 2024. A full list of our stockists can be found on our website. Additionally, the Roaring Stag gift shop in Ballater will also be open during these dates.
