Independent festivals support independent festivals 🤝 especially when they’re promoting such a good cause!

We’re absolutely gutted that the has had to postpone til 2023, a true reflection of the incredibly difficult year it’s been for the industry, which is why we’ll be collecting money for the charity behind our bar this year🪣

The Louis Ross Foundation has been established to help young people facing difficulties and to remember and reflect Louis’s compassion and kindness and his ability to unite people through friendship. The foundation is broad in its aims but specifically focuses on helping young people by providing grants and services.

THE LOUIS ROSS FESTIVAL was organised in order to raise funds to support the charity set up in Louis’ memory. Though they’ve been unable to go ahead this year, we hope that by collecting for the charity at The Kaleidoscope 2022, we can continue to celebrate Louis’ memory and provide our punters with a wicked weekend of fun in his honour🪩

Waxin’ the Palace; Chatting to the Man Who Convinced Wiltshire Council to Have a Rave! 20/08/2022

Waxin’ the Palace; Chatting to the Man Who Convinced Wiltshire Council to Have a Rave! All the local mainstream are on it like a fly on a turd, and the negativity of keyboard warriors is flowing fast and furious. Who am I to steer off the bandwagon, yet you know we’ll handle the news…

Three-day rave near Devizes approved by councillors 19/08/2022

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-wiltshire-62602303

We’re very pleased to announce that following the hearing, the council has granted us our full licence. We’d like to thank Wiltshire Council for all their advice given during the planning process for the event.

Many hours of careful planning and preparation have gone into curating this event and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome some of the UK’s best underground DJs and an array of talented visual artists into the field this September.

We know there’s been some apprehension in the local area surrounding the use of the word ‘rave' in our marketing, but we use the term ‘raving' not to evoke connotations of lawless gatherings, but to describe the act of dancing to the genre of music that we love, surrounded by like-minded people. We are a fully licensed and ticketed festival, with a site team and security in place. Our ethos is based around building a welcoming, friendly and respectful community and celebrating the true spirit of dance music.

Having grown up in the area, we noticed a real lack of arts and music events that are directed towards or appeal to young adults. We’re working to create a Wiltshire based community where we can uplift and celebrate both local and UK-wide talent in the creative industries and provide a safe space where all are free to express themselves.

The Kaleidoscope festival runs Friday 2nd - Monday 5th September, and will be a weekend of dance, art and celebration. We welcome any members of the local community who would like to attend! For more information on the event and links to tickets, please visit www.waxpalace.co.uk
