All ready for the foodies festival in Preston Park, Brighton.
It's swarming season again and as a local beekeeper I am happy to collect in these areas: Shoreham by Sea, Lancing, East, Central, and West Worthing, Broadwater, Tarring, Goring, Ferring, and Findon.
Swarms are fascinating but sometimes scary to watch. However, the bees are very unlikely to sting. Swarming is natural part of the bees life cycle . It is their way of increasing and expanding the population. When bees swarm they are solely focused on trying to find a new home.
Beekeepers collect swarms as a service so they don't become a nuisance to the general public. Once a swarm is collected it will be rehomed in a safe area away from harm.
These photos show what a swarm can look like but they aren't always like these. If you think you see a swarm please give me a call. I am more than happy to advise over the phone.
If you do see a swarm please ring 07812838439. Thanks in advance.
