Remember at the start of this post, we told you to relax. We mean it, your Out of Office on Outlook, automatically alerts colleagues that you aren’t available so today’s tip is do nothing.

Setting boundaries is important in all aspects of our lives, including our work. Quiet hours on the Microsoft Teams mobile app, allows you to suppress notifications for a custom period, based on your schedule.

We have all been in a meeting with a disruptive colleague, they can pipe up at inopportune moments or derail an important presentation, whilst we don’t have a solution for face-to-face meetings yet, we can help with Microsoft Teams meetings.

During a meeting simply open the attendee's tab, select the person you would like to mute, and tap on the “…” option to open the action menu, in the menu choose the option “Don’t allow to unmute” and mute them for the duration of the meeting.

Building and deploying an effective hybrid workplace can prove challenging. We suggest creating a strategy built around communication, autonomy, and trust.

Working on a super-secret project? Make your Teams meetings, invite-only. This means that if a meeting invite is forwarded to another colleague when that person tries to join they will be sent to a lobby for the host to admit, if they chose to.

This helps prevent those uninvited from joining the meeting.
