Ironbridge Half Marathon

Not long now until the famous Ironbridge half marathon. Places are still available, so sign up soon to run this truly iconic half marathon route, passing through the world heritage site of Ironbridge and running over the bridge. This event starts and finishes in the award winning Telford town park.

Hundreds of runners hit historic streets for Ironbridge Half Marathon Almost 600 runners raced through the Ironbridge Gorge for the 32nd Ironbridge Half Marathon.

This mornings run was brought to you by an amazing group of volunteers a few of them check in with us by sending in some pictures.

One last post before the big day.

We are all looking forward to seeing you all for our 10am start. Don’t forget that the clocks go forward tonight.

We have an amazing team of volunteers waiting to see you start, support you on the course and cheer you into the finish.

Tomorrow in the Arena we will have a limited selection of retro t shirts (size S - XL) bags, bottles and hats.
Please bring some change with you. 50p an item.

Race day is quickly approaching and we’re working hard behind the scenes.

Transfers will be allowed up to and including the morning of Race Day.

It’s perfectly placed for those who have now been told they will be running London Marathon.

Those who like me had rejection emails today it’s still the perfectly placed event. With amazing support, the loudest and most supportive marshals and no ballot places 😉

We have been working hard to pull together the details for Ironbridge Half Marathon. We took the decision not to hold an event this year and bring us back to our traditional date in 2023.
We are pleased to announce that the event will take place on 26 March 2023.

The final details are just being organised and Race Entry will be opening over the coming week.

Continuing our recycling efforts we have donated t shirts and medals to two local primary schools to encourage and support the mental and physical health benefits of running. Have fun Sir Alexander Fleming Primary School and Old Park Primary School.
