I've got a bit of a Shakespeare collection in the works, with mugs, tote bags, bookmarks etc, as well as keyrings, so that's quite exciting 😄

Happy Wednesday, Squirrels 👋 It's a wet Wednesday here, is it raining where you are? I don't mind the rain, to be honest, I find it quite relaxing! I'm sat with a cup of coffee, listening to the rain fall & feel so cosy 😊 I'm just missing a book in my hand, then it would be bliss 😌 I thought this design was quite appropriate, especially after the Super Full Moon last night 🌕

Well, tonight, I thought I'd give you a look at a new design I'm working on 🙂 these are double sided, with the same design on each side. They will have matching tassles attached at the top. Hope you like them 🙂

If there are, you may be wondering what's happening & may have also noticed some changes here on the page.
Sadly, due to many many things too boring to go into, Seren-knitty Corner has been packed away, maybe for good, or maybe just on a long term hiatus, we'll see. I unpublished the page for a time while I decided what I was going to do. I want to thank everyone who has followed me & Knitty Corner, it is very much appreciated, but the time came for a change. (And what a change!) More to come on that later 😊
For now this video is a little hint as to what is becoming my exciting new venture!

Our Story
Hello & welcome to Seren-knitty Corner!
I discovered my love for yarn and talent for knitting over 3 years ago during maternity leave. I taught myself, with the help of instructional books and online tutorials. At first I just knitted gifts for friends and family, receiving fabulous compliments about my work and a lot of people started to ask if I was selling them.
As I had left work to be a stay at home mam, I had been pondering a new business venture and things started to fall into place. My love of yarn and knitting just seemed like the perfect way to do something I enjoyed, while being able to be here for our little girl and at the same time earn money to help out financially. Kismet!
On June 29th 2014, Seren-knitty Corner was launched on Facebook, exciting, if a little daunting. I have since gathered a loyal following and my orders are growing all the time.
I create and make my pieces around the usual duties and demands that comes with being a wife, parent and supervisor at a well known stationery store! However, every single item is given a great deal of care and attention, from the beginning of the idea, during the creation process, to the finished product. I am a bit of a perfectionist!
I'm continually looking for new ideas or techniques to develop my skills and in turn, Seren-knitty Corner. I had longed to learn how to crochet and now I have fulfilled this wish. I found it rather fiddly after knitting, but persevered and now I love it as much as I love knitting (maybe more!)
My style ranges from the traditional to the quirky. For example, I have a big obsession with spooky things and skulls, so have brought some of this into my makes.
I love the fact that Knitty Corner has made it possible for me to fuse my love of working with yarn and creating pretty things with bringing people enjoyment, make them smile or add that finishing touch to their home.
One last thing.....
You maybe wondering where the inspiration for my shop name came from.
Well, I wanted to incorporate our little girl's name in it somewhere, as she was one of the reasons for me setting up. Her middle name is Serenity, which was a gift for a 'play on words' name involving knitting (Seren-knitty!).
The 'Corner' came about as I wanted to conjure up a cosy feeling when you heard or read the name. I think I succeeded, I hope you do too!
