Oh blimey...I think this one could be different...George. George lives with a girl who tells him what to do and when and he always does what she tells him to. Outside of the kennel George cannot wait to be part of what is going on. Photo 1 George says wait for it..Photo 2 George says I think it's going to happen...Photo 3 George couldn't wait any longer before being daft! You have to love the stripes..wired different to the rest! 😁

Message from Claire & Tracey at our HRH HQ:

Tracey Parbery and I have been absolutely overwhelmed by support everyone has shown to Home Run Hounds CIC and the dedication our wonderful volunteers bring to Home Run Hounds at our 4 sites . We can never thank you enough.

In April 2022, I decided to open a homing centre. After 30+ years being involved in the racing industry and 7 years in the homing industry, I wanted to do it differently - dog led, with welfare at the forefront of the vision.

Tracey and I have been friends for many years, meeting through our former GT volunteering. Over a cup of coffee, I floated my idea passed Tracey and she said 'anything I can do to help, let me know' (very brave !)

Through hard work and dedication in November 2022, Tracey and I both became Directors of Home Run Hounds CIC a Ltd CIC registered at Companies House and able to 'trade' as a not for profit business. GBGB Homing Centre approved by February 2023 and GRS accredited shortly after.

Like many HRH volunteers, Tracey and I work tirelessly behind the scenes, unfortunately we're not always visible and the last 6 months has been especially testing in many different areas as many of you will know and appreciate.

Taking on the challenge in 2024 to grow from 1 branch with 9 kennel spaces to 4 branches with 50 kennel spaces has been no mean feat .. We believe it was likened to “David and Goliath” … Well David succeeded …. and so did we, and we couldn't have done this without the commitment of so many of our volunteers and supporters and the faith you have all had in the CIC.

Alongside this, we endeavoured to become a Registered Charity which has taken many hours of work and a lot of hair pulling …. However, Tracey and I and are overjoyed to now be able to announce that the Charity Commission approved our application last Wednesday, and we are now registered as Home Run Hounds Greyhound Charity. Charity No 1209071

This new Charity Status opens so many new doors for us, in terms of promotion of greyhounds as pets as well as funding opportunities.

It's exciting times ahead for Home Run Hounds Greyhound Charity as an organisation and more so for our gorgeous greyhounds, as we make more Happy Ever After dreams come true.

More details will follow on the Charity but for now …. We want to say thank you to everyone involved and we look forward to welcoming you to our sites at Brandon in Suffolk (HRH Eastern Counties), Shenstone nr Lichfield, Stourbridge and Wombourne, West Midlands
