I will be in Irthlingborough tomorrow morning as usual with D. Summers and son.

Saturday sees us in Dunstable middle row market. The market opens at 9.30 so fingers crossed for good weather.
I will also be in Irthlingborough on Saturday morning from 7am.

Tomorrow is a very special bedfordflea for us.
Roly Cox Sax, aka Mr Green kitchen preserves will be performing for the first time at .
I can't wait, the set list sounds fab.
I will be on the stall with my preserves, pickled onions, OliveOlive fused oils, and of course my handmade vegetable samosas made using my tomato and chilli chutney.
It no doubt be a brilliant market with local small producers of tasty food and drink. Vintage is always worth checking out and of course, the talented local artists selling their unique Art. All of this is accompanied by local musicians.

This evening, I was privileged to attend a talk at the Literary & philosophical society Newcastle upon Tyne by actress Victoria Wicks. She is the granddaughter of author H E Bates..
H E Bates was born in Rushden Northamptonshire and even worked briefly at the Northampton Chronical. He is probably best known for writing the darling buds of May, although he also wrote several novels and many short stories.
He was also commissioned by the Royal Air Force & wrote as Flying Officer X. He included a lot of places in and around Northamptonshire. It has definitely inspired me to go and look at the places he wrote about and read more of his books.
Such a talented gentleman.
It's funny that in the city I'm from, I learn more about an author from near where I now live.

Sunday is the first Bedford Flea, Affordable Art & Local Produce Market of the year.
You'll find me in St Paul's sq, Bedford (MK40 1SL) Sunday 10-3pm.
I'll have preserves, vegetable samosas made using my tomato and chilli chutney, pickled onions, honey and oliveolive fused oils.
This market always has a fabulous vibe. There's the great food and drink stalls, the affordable Art and the bedford flea market.
Live music by local musicians always gets those toes tapping.
There's basically something for everyone, hope you can pop down and check out this great event.
