Santi's first ever group photo on one of his first walks with us.
Darcey, Bingley and Remy are excellent teachers don't you think?
Shadow is our resident taste tester of all the stuff that somehow ends up in the basket when Beth does the treat order..
Here he is enjoying an Ostrich foot Bone which kindly gifted us to try out in one of our orders.
If your dog would like to sign up for the role (and save his waistline), please let us know π
Flo feeling super photogenic π·

Recently received the news that our resident spaniel Toff has passed away.
Toffee was an absolute pleasure to walk and always pottered along with the biggest smile on her face. She will be sorely missed, and we are honoured to have been trusted with her!

I might be showing our ages with the caption but Emma and I both loved watching big cook, little cook when we were younger!

Did you know that every single dog on our walks not only has a free no obligation meet and greet prior to joining our walks, but they all also have a months trial? π§
Our free no obligation meet and greets help us to assess all of the dogs we work with and allows us to 'matchmake' based on several factors to ensure the relationships and grouping between both our handlers and other dogs are a good fit for everyone involved.
From here, we go onto a month's trial π
As we want nothing but the best for our dogs, this can include some fine tuning. We do not expect our dogs to "get used to" other individuals.
Instead, we allow the flexibility to tweak groupings/handlers and training techniques to ensure everyone is fully fulfilled and comfortable.

Millies auditioned to be our sister Abi's flower girl in August, she didn't get the role but we'll keep this in mind incase Emma and I ever need one! π
The boys took Nala's first group photo seriously, giving her lots of tips and making sure she smiled.
How did she do?
This is what happens when only certain people get the won't look Wednesday memo!
Whilst our photos usually impress, don't be fooled. Half of our camera roll looks like this! π
Let's talk dog training.
Dog training is an unregulated industry, and anyone can call themselves a trainer, even if they've never touched a dog before.
Picking a trainer who has no qualifications, education,or hhands-onshadowing of someone who does can do you more harm than good. They are often the most appealing due to lower pricing, more availability, and preach "quick results."
They can also be the people you meet in the park giving unsolicited advice because "bonking fido on the nose with a newspaper" worked for them, 3 dogs ago, for a completely different behaviour.
I have lost track of how many people in the past 7+ years, have come to me after using an uneducated/unpracticed trainer with a behaviour that is now 10x harder to fix, because they were inadvertently taught the incorrectly from the beginning.
Timing, consistency, and technique are KEY components within the training process. These components very much control the timeline of your results.
Here's some examples of what getting it wrong can mean:
πΎ Reinforce too late = Reinforcing the "wrong" behaviour or miss reinforcing the behaviour altogether.
πΎ Give the cue at the wrong time = Dog learns to ignore you or that they don't need to answer the first time.
πΎ Incorrect tool fit/usage = Dog can end up physically hurt or make the behaviour worse.
πΎ Picking the wrong technique for the individual = Dog getting confused & both parties getting frustrated.
A well rounded, educated and experienced trainer, will help guide you through the world of dog training with reliable results, that give both you and your dog the groundwork to ensure correct development and good behaviour longterm. They will have various different techniques up their sleeves and be happy to refer you to someone who specialises in the area you need. They understand that training is not one size fits all, and different dogs (and humans) have different motivators and learning styles and plan their sessions accordingly to get the best out of the individuals in front of them with the knowledge and experience they have under their belt.
So please pick your trainer as carefully as you would your child's nursery or school

Lost in a world of enchantment β¨οΈ
It's no secret that I have a massive spot for Dalmatians, so when Catherine () said she was looking after her client Elphas () and would I like to do a photography walk with them the answer was a no brainer.
So off we went to Black Park Country Park to see what we could create, and isn't this absolutely gorgeous?!
I think I can safely say this one of my top 3 photos from yesterday and one of my favourite edits so far!
Daily reminder that everybody struggles with training at some point or another, yes even the trained professionals, and we all had to start somewhere!
Nobody is 100% perfect, people mess up, we get our timings wrong, we try and progress too fast, we don't find the right motivators, we make it too difficult too quickly, we're in an uncontrolled environment such as a park, we try and train in the wrong enviroment, or in a lot of cases we are simply having to learn new techniques whilst teaching another who also doesn't know the behaviour.
Try not to compare your progress to your friends or the strange pups you see in the park, its hard but I can guarantee that they have also struggled at some point. Things you find easy they may have struggled with and vice versa.
Trainers with experience and education can make it look easy, especially behaviours that we train everyday but there is still times when we have to take a step back, reassess the situation and even occasionally think outside of the box!
Albus and Luna joined us whilst their mum was away on holiday, and look at those smiles! I think its safe to say they thoroughly enjoyed walking with us π€©
