Thank you to HAB Law for supporting the families this Christmas

Help us make this Christmas a memorable one for those in need 🎄!

We are still raising money to support families at the SAHWR refuge. The refuge is currently housing over 80 people, most of whom are young children, and this time of year can be especially hard for those staying at the refuge - for some it will be their first holiday they can celebrate in peace.

Your funds will be used to buy food, decorations, and gifts for families who don’t have anyone else to stay with over the festive season – helping to ensure they have a wonderful day despite their challenging circumstances.

Please help us make a difference for such a worthy cause. To do this, you can donate to our GoFundMe page:

https://www.gofundme.com/f/supporting-families-at-sahwr-refuge

All donations will be given to the refuge this Friday!

In refuge we are fortunate enough to experience many firsts, it could be a first Christmas free from fear or the first trip to a shop on their own.
Last week we celebrated a first birthday for a very special little boy.
A lot of our residents are far from where they call home so coming together and celebrating these milestones is so special for everyone involved, and reminds them of the support they have and the new life they are creating for themselves.
For staff it is always so heartwarming that the residents want to share these beautiful moments with us and accept us into their lives at these times.
