As Mark Cookman pointed out, we could have 200k+ on this Group but it is not about quantity, but quality and each of you are truly family. We launched the Crucial Hip Hop & Electro Radio station a couple of weeks ago and the unprecedented response has surprised us! We even have had to increase the number of streams as the listening figures have continuously hit the limit.
There are so many projects in the pipe, new albums, events, merchandise, but this isn’t the time and place to talk about these today. I promise you that his Group will never lose sight of the values of family and we will never allow trolls or negatively into this space, God knows there is enough in the world. Ben Liebrand has produced for artists such as Forrest and MC Miker G & DJ Sven and remixed tracks by artists such as Alexander O'Neal, Salt-N-Pepa, Sting, TLC, Fun Fun, Tavares, The Limit, Bill Withers, Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, Hot Chocolate, Pia Zadora, The Doobie Brothers, The Art Of Noise, Dimples D and Phil Collins. Good afternoon, Street Sounds family. I just wanted to give you an update to the progress of the ‘The Crucial Electro & Hip Hop’ channel. We have uploaded a huge amount of Electro & Hip Hop songs and are running a Beta version of the channel to iron out the gremlins. We will be going live, with the launch of the new multi-channel Street Sounds Radio App as soon as possible, hopefully if all goes well the end of next week. By the way you will not have to download the Street Sounds Radio App again as it will be automatically updated.

Thank you for all of your song suggestions, which has helped us, you are all Electro/Hip Hop aficionados… da bomb! The process of adding songs will be ongoing and therefor please keep letting us know your suggestions. My deepest thanks to Rob Hardman for his invaluable help in the curating of the music.

The Ambassadors of Funk return to the UK to play their most spectacular, full band, live shows ever! These shows will be a celebration to Bill ‘Fatback’ Curtis, who was in October 2023, inducted in the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame.

The Fatback Band are coming to play two special coastal shows for The Bakery Boy. One on Friday 7th June at the iconic Lido in Margate and the second they head down to CHALK in Brighton for a special Sunday show (9th June).

The Fatback Band are one of the most acclaimed Funk & Disco groups to have ever emerged from America. Formed in New York City in 1970, the Fatback Band was the concept of Bill ‘Fatback’ Curtis. Fatback, mixed Jazz, Funk and prefigured Disco and were at the beginning of Rap; their 1979 rap single “King Tim III” was released a week before the Sugarhill Gang’s “Rapper’s Delight”.

They have released over 35 albums and have had countless hits, which have become huge club anthems, including: “I Found Lovin’”, “Spanish Hustle”, “Is This The Future”, “Back Strokin’”, “Wicky Wacky”, “Yum Yum”, “Keep On Steppin’”, “I Like Girls”, “(Are You Ready) Do The Bus Stop”), “King Tim III (Personality Jock)”…
