A.B.ility Durham
the intention is to focus on what people can do not what they can't
I'm moving house this week I'm moving from Durham to Egremont instead of working with adults with Autism I'll be working with the homeless.
If you know of any support groups in your area let me, us know
Clearly my page was set up in the first instance to support people with autism but people with autism also have mental health issues and need to talk.
Something really positive to plan for as we head for 2024… come and join us for our first mental fitness & wellbeing walk.
Yep - mental fitness! We all hear all the New Year ‘get fit’ campaigns in the media, but how can we achieve physical fitness without mental wellbeing too?
A Mind Over Mountains walk not only gives you a vital ‘step off’ from the day to day and into nature; but also professional support from counsellors & life coaches. They walk alongside as part of the friendly group, and offer the chance to talk and be truly heard.
Book your place now - these spaces are ready for you! And please tag and share to help us spread the word 💚. The walk has been generously funded for our charity by Friends of the Lake District

I'm not sure which direction this page will go but it will take a direction, should it focus on learning, physical or mental disability or should it focus on a specific age group or should it just help all. 😉
Chag Chanukah Sameach to all our supporters who are celebrating the Festival of Lights over the next week.
The page will be promoting as many awareness events as possible in 2024 and hopefully host it's own
Hello to the new followers on here if you can help the page grow please do
And our next swimmers take to the water! Lisa and Paul are taking over for the second hour of our swimathon! 🏊

The page isn't here to help any particular disability it's intended to help anyone,
I'm just getting the page back up and going, I'm not sure which direction it will go in and who's going to get involved with it,
I am moving from Durham to Egremont in Cumbria so I'll probably be focused on things over that way..
This🙌🏻
Do you focus on your disability things that you can't do or the things that you can
Happy to all of our supporters who are celebrating the festival of lights over the next couple of days.
Here at DSUK headquarters, we are getting into the swing of another busy, and hopefully magical festive period. However, we know that for many of you, the 2024 holiday season is the prize your eyes will be on.
So, we are delighted to tell you that the DSUK 2024 adaptive holiday dates are now open for general sale.
We’ve taken your feedback on board, and we will be providing holidays from the end of February, right the way through March.
Head over to our page for all the details, and start planning your unforgettable getaway in the mountains.
