πGLUTE ACTIVATION π
Before any lower body work I always start with some glute activation to ensure the bootayyyy is firing properly. This ensure that during any compound movement there is no unwanted strain on surround muscle groups or that lower back, helping prevent injury. I also prescribe glute activation work to all of the athletes I see before warm up, especially the football girls...this helps to ensure that the glutes are firing, helping to support the knee, hip and ankle during all movements involved in the sport.

Psoas Bridge March today for a client rehab session. This helps to improve hip flexor strength, hopefully over all improving squat performance. Adding the bridge element helps to incorporate the glutes, hamstrings, psoas and core at once.
