Cutting Through the Diet Hype: A No-Nonsense Review of ‘The Game Changers’ & ‘You Are What You Eat’ 🥩🌱

👀 Let’s talk about those trending documentaries – ‘The Game Changers’ and ‘You Are What You Eat’. They’re making waves with their vegan-centric messages, but let’s dive a bit deeper, shall we?

🌟 ‘The Game Changers’ hit our screens with a lot of noise, mainly attacking meat consumption. From my viewpoint as an experienced nutritionist, it felt a bit too much like one-sided propaganda.

📊 Then comes ‘You Are What You Eat’, spinning a similar narrative. Centered around a study that – spoiler alert – was backed by a plant-based company. It shows some health perks for vegans, but hey, these aren’t exclusive to ditching meat.

🤔 The catch? This study was a short sprint, not a marathon. Eight weeks isn’t enough to give a full picture, especially when it skips the potential downsides of a vegan diet. We’re talking about things like protein sources, B12 levels, and overall meal satisfaction.

🥗 So, my take? These shows are more about the drama than solid science. They don’t prove that vegan is the way to go over a balanced diet that includes meat. In 2024, it’s still about variety – meats, veggies, fruits, and all the good stuff.

🧐 Remember, don’t get swept away by trendy docs. A balanced, diverse diet is key for top-notch health.
