Meet Pape, a hardworking donkey in Nouakchott, Mauritania. After a scary traffic accident left him injured, our member charity SPANA's amazing vets came to the rescue!
Pape's owner Sidi learned valuable lessons about animal care: "SPANA's vets have been an invaluable source of knowledge. Their dedication has inspired us to be more vigilant and compassionate."
Your support makes stories like Pape's possible. Together, we're changing lives – both animal and the people who love and care for them.
🙏 Thank you for helping working animals get the care they deserve!

Casper was just one of 6,052 animals our member charities helped find loving homes for last year.
He came to our member Mayhew from a loving home, but due to his owner’s ill health, they were no longer able to look after him. Casper is now a much-loved addition to their family and Paul and Lisa love his big character.
Thanks to your support animals like Casper are living their best lives, in loving forever homes. Thank you.
Did you know…. A newborn foals legs are already 80 to 90% of the length they will be when full grown, a foal is able to stand just one hour after birth and they can walk, trot, and run just two hours after birth!
Today is International Cat Day 🐱 and we wanted to take the opportunity to share Stitch's story with you.
Stitch arrived at Together for Animals member Mayhew at the end of May after she was abandoned outside their front door. Inside her carrier was a heart-breaking note explaining that the owner couldn't no longer afford to care for Stitch.
This is not only devastating for Stitch, but her owner too, who clearly felt they had no other choice but to give her up.
Despite being at full capacity, the team brought Stitch to safety and started providing her with the immediate care she required, including medical support from the veterinary team. Despite the note left with her saying she had been vomiting she experienced nothing further, and after being assessed by the veterinary team seemed bright and healthy in herself.
Stitch is a sweet, gentle girl who enjoys her fuss and coming over for a cuddle. She was a little shy at first but she grew in confidence with the team and showed them her playful side too the more she settled and happier she became.
Sadly, we are seeing more cases like this as pet owners struggle to care for their animals amidst the cost-of-living crisis.
Just this year alone, seven cats have been abandoned on Mayhew’s doorstep with nowhere else to go. This year they have already taken in over 270 dogs and cats.Fortunately, these animals are now all safe alongside Stitch. But we can only continue helping dogs and cats in need with the support of animal lovers like you.
While pet owners are struggling to care for their pets with the cost-of-living crisis, animal charities have also been impacted, including all of our member charities. Every day, it’s becoming more expensive to run their services, which so many animals and their owners depend on.
As an animal charity supporting our members work across the UK and overseas, we want to continue helping them all be there for those who need them most. We need to be there so that amid the increasing need and costs they face, they can help animals like Stitch.
If you can, a donation – large or small – can support their vital work during these difficult times: https://togetherforanimals.org.uk/donate/

Left unable to walk after a road traffic collision, Harley was in agonising pain. The pet cat was severely hurt – the trauma had caused injuries to her spine and pelvis and a dislocated hip. Thankfully our member, Blue Cross, was there to help.
Harley underwent two operations and received seven weeks of care from their expert team, including all the follow-up appointments, X-rays and physiotherapy she needed.
Playing with her toys, racing through her tunnel and exploring the garden at home, Harley is now able to enjoy being back with her family after the traumatic accident.
Thank you for helping pets like Harley receive the veterinary treatment and care they need.
We all love to make the most of the warm weather and enjoy a barbecue. However, some of the treats we love may be dangerous to our four-legged friends. If you are planning a BBQ, we have some tips from our friends at Nutravet to help keep it fun and safe: https://buff.ly/3VJb5HR

Many animals like Murphy, arrive at Together for Animals’ member charities at their lowest point.
