AFAudio Mains Cables & Conditioners
Having spent many years working in quarries installing electronics. “What has that got to do with Audio Mains Conditioning I hear you ask”? I found that the mains power in these quarries was shocking (excuse the pun). So I had to install mains conditioners onto every single piece of electronic equipment. Whenever I visited an audio show, I would pay special interest to the Mains Conditioning for Hifi systems. The problem is, once all the kit you need is added together it usually adds up to a five figure sum. This is wonderful for people with lots of disposable income but not so good for us mere mortals. This got me thinking..... “Why don’t I apply my knowledge and skills to create a system which could be purchased either by the individual item or as a package with essentially 2 layers?”
Layer 1
A Mains conditioner with 1 inlet and 5 outlets all rated at 16A. This is wired with 16 AWG silver coated copper PTFE insulated wire. It has no less than 5 different types of filtering, this is to eliminate spikes, RF interference and other nasties. The 5 outlets are totally independent to one another and there are no fuses. The protection is covered with a 15A thermal overload.
