BAND HISTORY
Bradwell Silver Band was founded on January 15th 1901 and can proudly claim that it has been in continuous existence for well over a century. Most of the original members lived in what was then rural North Buckinghamshire villages of Bradwell and Stantonbury and were employed at the London and North Western Railway Works in neighbouring Wolverton. These areas were later renamed Old B
We had a really big turn out by players this morning to start the morning off 'Brad'll style'. Thank you to each and every one of you who came out to hear us and for the donations made to the band. Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas! For those wondering what our route is this morning, here is a map. If you hear us, do give us a wave!
And so our tradition continues. As Christmas Eve is enjoyed, we have just two carolling events remaining. Tonight we are out around the 'little streets' in New Bradwell from 7pm and tomorrow morning we start at 6am at the Corner Pin.
If you don't live in New Bradwell then tune into Stony Radio at 8am on Christmas morning to hear the band live as it plays to local residents: https://www.stonyradio.com/listenlive
Since 1901, it has been tradition in Brad'll that no child can open their stocking on Christmas morning until they've heard the brass band. Wishing everyone in our Bradwell Community a very Happy Christmas 🎶🎺🎅

We’re here in Stony Stratford this morning, and the gorgeous people at Woodstock’s Artisan Bakery have donated mince pies to keep us going! Thank you so much! 💙
Some lovely photos of the band here from last Saturdays concert 😁
Christmas carol concert raises the roof – and funds – in Newport Pagnell The Newport Pagnell Singers hosted the service on Saturday
Don’t forget we’re out in Bradville tonight! If you hear us, do come and say hello, and maybe request a carol. We’ll be starting at 7pm near the Halley’s Comet and winding our way round until 9pm.
We’re so sorry to say that we’re having to cut this evening’s carolling session short - the weather is abysmal and our players (and music) are drenched. If we didn’t make it around to you this evening please accept our sincere apologies, we hope you understand.
We will be in Bradville on the 19th and around the little streets of New Bradwell on Christmas Eve.
For those of you who did brave the weather and come out to say hello, thank you so much!
A very wet new bradwell christmas
The Development Band celebrated their last rehearsal of the year with a chocolate treat. But don't worry... that's not it for the band. The senior band is out tonight (tues 12th) between 7pm & 9pm starting at the school and heading around the streets of New Bradwell playing Christmas carols. You are very welcome to pop a donation in our bucket (and we'll have our card reader with us too). See you later!!
Thank you to the Bradwell Bard, and our trustee Graham for this beautiful poem celebrating the band throughout the year. Graham performed this poem at our Christmas concert last night.
Tomorrow night (Saturday 9th) is our Christmas Concert. Come along and listen to an uplifting programme of festive music (and you'll also spot a few Christmas hats!). This year we're bringing a couple of outdoor lights so the entrance to the church will be lit up and ready to welcome you 🎅🎺💡🔦
Our Development Band were having fun at last nights rehearsal playing Christmas Calypso. We love it that so many parents choose to learn alongside their children and even our players who have 'graduated' turn up to help others.
Our first Christmas concert of the season with the fabulous Harmonize choir from Two Mile Ash School. We've been working with their students for years now, supporting their choir and welcoming their aspiring musicians to our Development Band. What a great way to start Christmas! 🎅🎺🎼
Our webmaster Luke is getting into the Christmas spirit, can you find the Nordic elves who have joined the band? https://bradwellband.co.uk/
You will find the latest issue of The Bugle uploaded in the Resources drop down. Newly published today.
