A rare rainbow for tonight’s game against Fordcombe!
Great team performance from West Kent today away at Mid Sussex…. Super day, sadly we didn’t win, but we had some excellent fielding moments, a good few catches and a super run out. We were missing some injured players, so hopefully we’ll have those batters back on the field for the Home match…Howzat!
Warm uo 11:30 for a Noon start! Good Luck to our Kent 11 and reserves ! Do come and support your players West Kent!
Thank you Stonewall for a lovely day of Stoolball! Well deserved win for Penshurst … batting was solid throughout ! Causeway worthy runners up! And as expected… a first class raffle and beautiful cakes!! Howzat!!
Here's some pictures of the Umpire and Coaching session held on 21st April. Kelvin and Anita brought us their knowledge, experience and wisdom! We had a great turn-out for the coaching and everyone got something out of it. It was great to train with players from across all teams and coach each other (and yes it was competitive!!) We'll be proposing to run a longer coaching session pre-season for all west kent players on an annual basis from now on... what training do you want?
Please see details on the Stoolball England AGM
Please attend if your free and show your support for stoolball😊
Please note the change of venue to Fordcombe Cricket Pitch

We are considering this years AGM and would like as many people as possible to attend, can you ask your leagues/teams if they are going to attend and if so which of the below options would be their first choice.
We are looking at holding the meeting at the end of November
1. Evening (7pm till 9pm) or Sunday morning (11am - 1pm)?
2. Zoom or Face to face (looking at Bolney Village Hall)?
Please send your replies back no later than 24th October 2022.

Match results on the Stoolball England website
At the moment, it is not possible to do a "bulk" name change/merge.
However, you are able to correct mistakes in match results. It is possible, but fairly time consuming to alter the names individually. For Weald, I tried it with an "A Hipgrade" and found the match where this name appeared. I updated the match with a new name of "Andrea Hipgrave". This was successful but updates of this nature are cached and do not appear immediately but are done about every 2 hours.
To re-cap, if you go into the list of players, click on a name you want to change, you will hopefully see a list of matches that player has played in.
Then click on the match and update the wrong names.
Go through the details of the match until you find the name to alter.
The system should give you a dropdown list of suggested alternatives.
You may find more occurrences of the name, i.e. in any of the batting, bowling or catches.
Then "Save and continue" followed by "Save match".
See examples.
Any issues, please contact me, [email protected]
Good Evening
Temperatures are set to be at 36degrees on Monday so as a league we are happy if between the two teams playing you want to rearrange your game to another day next week, or if this is not possible due to players not being available or pitches not being available you can start later at 7pm to allow it to cool off slightly.
We just ask that both teams are happy with the arrangements and games are completed by the Friday as the august league and mixed league are due to start the following week.
Have a lovely weekend and I’ll see a lot of you Sunday
