Thinking of adding similar to my shop.🤔 Just not sure how it would work - do I have a standard list of words for each letter or allow the purchaser to choose their own words.

The downside of my creations is the waste they produce in the production. I am constantly striving to come up with new ways of creating my products using more sustainable and environmentally friendly materials but it isn’t going to happen over night.

In the meantime the packaging will be reused, recyclable and as plastic free as possible.

Don’t get me wrong, I love making all the lovely orders for grey themed family trees I get, but when a customer asks me for a purple themed tree, it just brings me joy!

It reminds me of a very special lady I used to work with who was obsessed with all things purple!

⭐️DAY 31, LOOKING FORWARD⭐️

Oops I seem to have missed the last day of March Meet the Maker!

Thank you for joining me this month, I hope you have enjoyed learning about my small business.

Looking forward, I have a long to do list to get through - the main focus for this year will be exploring website options along with an overhaul of my products and photos.

That will probably take me through to Christmas planning which I will actually need to start in a couple of months 😲

Looking forward to a summer packed with catching up with family and friends too as I am sure we all are!

⭐️DAY 30, RANGE⭐️

I would describe myself as a “gift maker”, so I find it difficult not to want to make everything!

Currently I have gifts for the main holidays and celebrations including Christmas, Easter, Weddings, Anniversaries and Mother’s Day.

This is just a handful of our frames that have been gifted as wedding gifts.

It is a continuous process refining and adding new items.

A big overhaul is in the pipeline, so please do watch this space!

Mainly weekending here at Rosy Posy HQ, but with Easter almost behind us (in online shopping world!) my thoughts are on to what is usually our busiest priory after Christmas - Teachers leaving gifts.

Bit of a throw back pic! Was going to completely revamp the range and photographs - but wondering whether there will be a no physical gift rule this year given the current situation.

⭐️ DAY 26, FAVOURITE⭐️

This one by far! This is the first collaboration project with my sister who is just the most talented with a sewing machine.

Part of a move to source more locally and reduce the products that are imported.

It is such a beautifully made item, made using quality materials. I am so proud of it.

⭐️DAY 25, STARTING POINT⭐️

If you order a frame from me, you will receive one of these - a mocked up digital image to help you visualise what your frame will look like.

This is such an important starting point for me to ensure I provide the best service to my customers. It enables them to check the spellings , overall designs and colours which I try and match to the colours of the papers I have in stock.

⭐️DAY 24, WRAPPED & PACKAGED⭐️

This is where I really like to let the creativity flow!

I like to be as eco friendly as I can with my packaging - all orders will come wrapped in plain white tissue paper with a Rosy Posy label and thank you card made from recycled paper as standard.

I also have a gift wrapping service, where for just £3 I will create a fully customisable label for you and wrap in brown paper and raffia of string. All frames purchased are wrapped in brown paper and raffia as standard :)

⭐️DAY 23, JOB(S)⭐️

In a small business there are lots! Probably stating the obvious but there are all the same jobs to be done in a small as a large, the difference being that it’s only me here to do them!

I actually probably only spend a 1/3 of my time making, allocating the rest of my time between:

🌸Developing new products

🌸Photographing products and content for socials

🌸Online shop maintenance

🌸Stock management

🌸Designing and sending mock ups to customers

🌸Making

🌸Packing

🌸Social media and marketing

🌸Planning, admin and accounts

I’m sure I’ve missed something! I do love the variety but long for the day where I have scaled up enough to outsource some of these tasks to people who are better (and quicker!) than I am!

Anyone else have those bizarre out of body moments where they wonder how they’ve wondered up down this path. 😂🤣😂
