This is the second of the two twins cakes we made last weekend, celebrating their 30th birthday. This one was a delicious vanilla cake with fresh raspberries, filled with raspberry conserve and buttercream under a finish of whipped white chocolate ganache. Decorated with edible images of the Kraken, and miniatures. Marvellous 🤩

The weekend saw twins celebrating their 30th birthday. Two cakes were made and this is the first. A rich, dark chocolate cake with white chocolate ganache beneath a finish of buttercream. Decorated with faux silk florals. What’s not to love 🥰

Harry is 9 today 🥳🥳. He just loves the Tropical Butterfly House at North Anston, so mum wanted his cake to reflect that. Harry particularly loves the blue morpho butterfly, which is a huge tropical iridescent beauty. The cake is vanilla sponge filled with strawberry buttercream, and almost everything you see is edible, except for the spectacular “9” topper, featuring dozens of blue morpho. Harry’s face when we delivered the cake this morning was an absolute picture 😃. Happy birthday Harry 🥳 🦋 🦋 🥳

A VW campervan for David’s birthday at the weekend, made to look (I hope) pretty much like his actual van 😀. Lemon flavoured sponge cake with lemon curd and buttercream filling, coated in white chocolate ganache and finished in fondant icing. I hear a good day was had 😀. Happy birthday David 🎉 👌

A sweet surprise from a loving daughter to her mother on the occasion of her 50th birthday. This is two cakes stacked on top of each other. One is a light and fluffy vanilla bean sponge, filled with seedless strawberry preserve and buttercream. The other is a Valencia lemon sponge with lemon curd and buttercream, all beautifully finished with splashes of gold and faux silk moth orchids. What a treat! Many congratulations to the birthday girl 😊

My highly trained paws are at your service 🐾😀 🐶 This Paw Patrol cake was for Noah on his 3rd birthday today 🐾. Everything you see is completely edible, a strawberry and vanilla cake decorated with handmade vanilla sugar cookies and candy lollies. Mum told us that the family don’t care for fondant icing, so this cake was created using only buttercream and royal icing. Let’s dig it!! 🐾🐶🐾 🐾

Happy 8th birthday to football mad Jasper. This double height cake was finished in buttercream, with fondant highlights. Sitting on top is a real football, for added fun at the party 🎉. The semi sphere golden ball and the boot are both handmade from delicious white Belgian chocolate, and stuffed with Haribo tangfastics inside. Last weekend saw a coming of age celebration for Ben. This special cake was lush dark chocolate on the base tier and our new season gingerbread cake flavour on top. Decorated with some edible images, sugar work and two solid white Belgian chocolate skulls on top. Ben loves all things musical and gothic, so this fitted the bill for him perfectly. Why Am I Always Tired?!?!? This cake is the perfect example of how every single cake we make is especially designed for its intended recipient. I went on holiday at the end of the summer, but a regular customer needed a cake for whilst I was away. No problem!! I created this vegan chocolate cake and froze it. The sugar piggies were made separately and boxed. On the delivery date my long suffering husband delivered the cake and decorations and my customer, after having allowed the cake to defrost at room temperature overnight, assembled it for the party the following day. I promise you that nothing is lost in terms of flavour and texture by freezing cakes. In fact, Christine messaged me to say the cake was “excellent” and went down very well! Cute too, don’t you think?!?!

After a long six month absence due to ill health I’M BACK 🙌. What a time to return - just in time to welcome October. The month when the smallest breeze gives us a shower of autumn leaves.
