Why are people ignoring the food issue? 24/03/2024

Richard Vobes and his lovely Julia came to visit my ex partners Farm when I was in Spain and Mark, who is going to start growing some vegetables here on the farm, had another interview with Richard. They had a lovely time and I'm very sorry I missed meeting them, because I was just on my way home from Spain, but very proud of Mark and my ex partner Ray for being so involved in the No farmers No food movement. I will share with you more about the activities here on the farm, one of which is the farm campsite I manage. So lots of activity here and all to provide a service to our local community. Please share:-) Janet van Dam Mark Byford

When doing breast thermography, I always take a picture of the eye sockets. This often puzzles women, but a low core temperature measured from the carotids in the inner corner of the eyes can reveal thyroid dysfunction (low temperature) or underlying inflammation (high temperature). Understanding your thyroid function is beneficial because it's function is to protect your breasts and heart and general metabolism function from problems early :-) Janet van Dam

Dear All,
I am super happy to share with you the release of a new book written by one of my ladies Andree Funnell. She felt inspired to write about her journey with breast cancer and what holistic and complementary therapies she has used to regain her health. I have had the pleasure to be part of that journey for many years now and so pleased she has decided to share with other women her experiences. The book first tells you about her experience with breast cancer, the second part is all about the different holistic approaches she took to get well. There is also a chapter about thermography explaining how it can help women in monitoring their health.

The book will be released in just one week's time. The title is 'My Path to Hope and Wellness.' It is her second book and will be available as hardbac but also on Amazon Kindle. This book is more than words on paper; it's a source of inspiration and courage for those on their journey to improved health from serious illness. Are you ready for the unveiling?

Andree and I will do an interview this Friday the 26th of January and you can view us live on Instagram at 4 PM or just after. If it is on another platform I will let you know.

Many women will not know that breast thermography, besides identifying changes in temperatures and circulation, can also show you the changes in your hormones, which already can start in your 40ties and can last well into the menopause and beyond.
Oestrogen dominance may increase your chances of getting breast disease, so it is an important part of your breast health assessment. Oestrogen dominance may be the natural process when progesterone starts dropping off first and this lowers your protection to the oestrogen. Other times when this shows is when contraception or HRT is not really the right thing for you. Knowing the hormonal status of the breast tissue can help you prevent breast disease in the long term. Breasts Thermography – a window into your hormones and health

Breast thermography is a different way of assessing breast health, and it is different, because it can look at activity in the body as well as some structure. No other test to date is able to show us how our body is responding to heat or cold, pain, circulation or nerve issues and, of course, our hormones.

Assessing how do body is functioning can give us some clues about what is happening inside the body and of our general state of health. This is really interesting, that we can assess breast health but also have some idea about what goes on internally.

Hormones can be a real problem for women and slight symptoms may already start in teenage years due to an imbalance of the hormones that never quite seem to settle.
Girls as young as 13 or 14 may be prescribed the Pill to control their symptoms, which I believe can have great health consequences well into the future as they mature.

In homeopathy, controlling your natural cycles equals suppression and suppression is never a good thing, especially in a young developing body. Suppressing the release of an egg by the Pill year after year does not only affect our s*x organs (womb, ovaries and breasts), but will also affect our pituitary, adrenals, cortisol and thyroid hormone, because all our hormones work together and talk to each other continuously.

Hormone treatment is not something that goes unnoticed in the body. During my screenings I regularly pick up on time of period, use of contraception or hormone replacement. I can also pick up on high oestrogen activity in the breast in menopause, when oestrogen is high and progesterone low.

Worryingly, I see women in their late 30s or early 40s with breast cancers, who have had a history of the contraceptive pill, especially that of the progesterone-only pill, which suppresses the release of an egg indefinitely. Women often choose this type of contraception, because it stops them from having periods and women find it convenient, not knowing that this could actually increase their risk for breast cancer in the future.

Sometimes there is low hormonal activity whilst a woman is taking the Pill or hormone replacement, then the risk will be low for developing disease. In this case, the dose or type of hormone is suiting that person.

So, in my experience, the prolonged use of hormones can be a real problem for our health overall. There are alternatives: homeopathic treatment can be very beneficial for women of all ages to help regulate their cycles and cope with menopausal symptoms.
And, you do not need the Pill to have control over your fertility, there are other, less invasive ways of doing this.

Another observation we can make is of inflammation in the breasts or lymph congestion. Inflammation can be a sign of it also being present somewhere else in the body. This could be due to (pre)diabetes or low grade inflammation in an organ somewhere else, usually the gut.
Lymph congestion in the breasts can be due to a general sluggish system and tight bras, where the lymph channels are compressed.
Both can be greatly helped by changing the diet and making sure that you move your body regularly and that your breasts are not all day cooped up inside your bra.

I hope you found this article interesting and if you have any questions regarding medical thermography and how it may be able to help you look after your health, please feel free to contact me.
x Janet
