Grangefield food bank collection is tomorrow (Monday 3rd June) from 9am to 11am in the downstairs room of Grays Road Institute. All types of food, toiletries etc are needed but especially long life milk and loo rolls. Thank you for your continued support.



Grangefield ward surgery will take place on Thursday 6th June from 6pm to 7pm in the downstairs room of Grays Road Institute. No appointment needed. Look forward to seeing you.

Our next Grangefield food bank collection will be on Monday 13th May (not 6th May as it is a Bank Holiday). We will be open in the downstairs room of the Grays Road Institute from 9am to 11am. All foodstuffs and toiletries etc are needed. Thanks for your continued support.

We will be holding a community litter pick/clean up on Saturday 11th May meeting at 10am at St. Paul’s Church on Bishopton Road. We will be helping to litter pick in the Newham Grange Estate and afterwards moving back to the church which has a coffee morning from 10 to 12noon. All equipment provided. Hope to see you at 10am.

Green waste collection

A reminder that our green waste collection starts next week w/b Tuesday 9th April with red week and ends w/b Tuesday 29th October with blue week. Happy gardening everyone.



Pleased to let you know that Windermere Road is in the road works programme for this financial year to be fully resurfaced. If more money becomes available we may get more
work done. In the meantime any pot holes will be reported to the council.

Grangefield ward surgery

On Thursday 4th April we have our ward surgery from 6pm to 7pm in the downstairs room of Grays Road Institute. No appointment necessary.



On Sunday 7th April we have our community litter pick and clean up in Grangefield Park. Meet at 10.30am at Michael’s bench near the children’s play area. All equipment provided. Look forward to seeing you.

Thanks to all those who attended our Spring coffee morning yesterday. We raised £200 for our local food bank and had some enjoyable conversations too while eating delicious cakes and scones!



Our Grangefield Community Council will take place on Thursday 28th March at 6pm in the downstairs room of Grays Road Institute. Come and have your say about your ward. We hope to have the police with us to let us know about crime in our area.

On May 2nd we have local voting for a Tees Valley Mayor and also a Police and Crime Commissioner. Remember you need voter ID to vote in a polling station or if you want to fill in a postal vote application then ring 01642 526196 so the council can send you a form.

Grangefield Spring coffee morning

Our coffee morning will take place on Saturday 23rd March from 10am to 12noon in Grays Road Institute, Grangefield. Usual stalls. All money raised to our local food bank. Come and enjoy a morning with friendly people and raise funds at the same time.

The Bread and Butter Thing

Did you know anyone can access the Bread and Butter Thing. For a standard bag it costs £8.50 which includes fresh fruit and vegetables, chilled food and cupboard staples. Individuals can get a smaller bag for £5 and it is £17 for a family deal.

There are several sites up and running at the moment. These are the nearest:-

Tuesday 1.30pm The Salvation Army, Palmerston Street. Stockton TS18 !NU

Fridays 1pm Newtown Community Resource Centre, Durham Road, Newtown TS19 0DE.
