If you are finding it difficult to interpret your DNA results, or you simply don’t know where to start, give me a call.

In the past few months I have helped several people find their parents or their grandparents this way, so hopefully I might be able to help you too.

One name studies are different from other genealogical research methods that seek to find the numerous ancestors of particular individual. Instead, one name studies concentrate on the geographical distribution of a single surname, and the changes in that distribution over the centuries. This information can be used to reconstruct the genealogy of lines bearing the surname or attempt to find a single point of origin for a surname. This one-day workshop aims to teach you the basics on how you can start to research the origins of your own surname.
