If you're heading to the coast for a break this summer, make sure you go to a lifeguarded beach; and only swim between the red and yellow flags.

If you aren't sure where these beaches are, visit https://rnli.org/find-my-nearest/lifeguarded-beaches

Huge well done to three children from Trinity.

George, Max and Oscar took part in the Bristish Street Dance Festival, recently. They came an amazing third overall in their age catergory. We are very proud of them! 👏

We would like to say a big well done to one of our fantastic Year 2 pupils, Riley - who ran 5K in a Race for Life event in Bath at the weekend.

Great example of Service to Others and getting out there and having some fun! Well done Riley!

A huge well done to our amazing Owls who have just spent 3 days at PGL - Osmington Bay, they’ve had the most amazing time and thrown themselves into everything. We are so proud of all the fears you overcame and how you looked out for one other! Now it’s time to get some sleep.

We would like to celebrate one of our Year 4 Pupils, Caitlin for showing a real Service to Others.

She set herself a goal of riding 10 miles for her chosen charity, Spring Support to get her Brownie charity badge. Last weekend she completed her challenge and has so far raised almost £100.

Huge WELL DONE Caitlin.

Last Friday, was our Summer Fayre. A brilliant occasion. Huge thank you to Dannii and the whole Links Team. It takes a lot of people volunteering to make an event as good as our Fayre. Dannii worked without pausing for breath, but could have not done it without the whole Links Committee. We are also indebted to the businesses who gave up their time, resources and donated prizes. Our sincere thanks.

It was such a lovely family event, so many faces old and new. There was a really positive and friendly atmosphere, a real Trinity Festival.

We will aim to send updates about what the money raised with help us achieve over the coming weeks. Thanks to all, once again.

We at Trinity were all filled with optimism and thankfulness last Friday. Our Sports Day, in beautiful morning sunshine was lots of fun. The House, who eventually won was Maple. Our Captain and Vice Captains received the cup, gratefully from our Chair of Governors, Miss Hiscock. A brilliant day of sprints, ending in a medley relay.

Some amazing future athletes and lots of wonderful support and encouragement from our brilliant families. We could not have enjoyed such a successful event without our fabulous staff and fantastic volunteers, mostly from Emmanuel Middle School, who on their inset day - helped run the events, tirelessly.

Thank you - one and all!

Everyone at Trinity First School would like to say a big well done to Oscar, George and Max, from Year 3. They were part of a team of a crew called 'Shake kids', part of a Street Dance company.

After weeks and weeks of rehearsals and have qualified for the 'British Street Dance Championships' in Watford, in July!

Good luck boys - we cannot wait to hear more about it!

Everyone at Trinity First School would like to thank Ollie from the Verwood Horticultural Society and Helen from Wild Places for giving up a morning last week to help some of the children plant Ash, Beech, Maple and Oak trees. These were kindly donated by Beaulieu Nursery and Brackendale Nursery.

These represent our new School Houses, it is a fantastic legacy that our current students can leave for future generations. Planting the tree's was good fun too!!

On Friday, Year 3 and Year 4 children took part in a brilliant rugby tournament. The Verwood Bulls, Trinity Tigers and Dorset Saints all took part in a great event. The Verwood Bulls won the final, to secure bragging rights... for now at least...! Thanks to Mr McBurnie and Coach Elliot for your hard work coaching our young rugby players.

We have to say well done to Owls today for an amazing effort in our ‘Great Trinity Bake Off’. All the children participated in creating a product that was worthy of the biscuit aisles in any supermarket. They created packaging and introduced themselves and the product to our very tough judges, it was a great outcome for all teams but a big congratulations to our winning team ‘The Brilliant Bakers’ who won overall star bakers, the team work you showed was fantastic and we have to say what delicious, adapted recipes you all created!

Last Sunday, our very own Mollie and Toby competed in their first official athletics quad kids competition at Kings Park in the Bournemouth open.

Both ran 75m, threw a vortex howler, participated in long jump and finished with a 600m run for their club Wimborne Athletics.

They competed in great spirit and loved challenging themselves to perform as well as they could. Well done both, we are all very proud 😊

The Gymnastic tumbling squad made us incredibly proud on Friday. Their performances were so professional and their enthusiasm was outstanding. You should all be very proud of coming 4th in our very first competition! You guys will go far!

A huge well done to Elijah Tsang. He really is a future star!

Elijah is a keen go-kart racer. At the weekend, Elijah had his first podium finish, and he won! Elijah won the Electric Bambino Race, at Shenington, Banbury. We at Trinity are all hugely proud! 🏎

Thank you to those eagle-eyed parents who have highlighted the closing time of school on Wednesday 27th March. We do apologise that the time was not advertised and would like to confirm Trinity will finish for the Easter break at 3pm. Previously, we have finished earlier on the end of term, but this will not be the case. We will finish at the usual time.

Excitingly, the end of term will be followed by the LINKS Easter Egg Hunt.

It was such a joy to have author of in today. Thank you Debs Pharoah-Pink for visiting every class to introduce them to the characters in the story, read a snippet of her latest book and to share what inspired her to write it. The children were given the amazing opportunity to ask her really insightful questions and were left with a challenge set for them to complete. If you were able to get a signed copy let us know how the story unfolds as we’d love to hear more about these cheeky characters!

Wow what an incredible World Book Day it has been! Starting off seeing and guessing everyone’s costumes and recognising the effort that had been made was a fantastic start to the day.

We thoroughly enjoyed a ‘celebrate books’ collective worship and everyone enjoyed noticing each others characters. Including all the staff that were characters from a wel known favourite, Charlie and the chocolate factory!

Each class focused on traditional tales and turning them into their own versions, including making and testing different ways you could eat porridge and building indestructible houses (guess the tale these were based on).

Throughout the day, we had special guests coming to read to children in our ‘Trinity Book Corner’ and it was such a joy and highlight for them to hear stories from lots of our parents, so thank you to those that did!

Finally, a big thank you to all those who came and enjoyed some refreshments and to share a book with us at the end of the day, it was lovely to see so many of you there and we are glad you were so delighted with your new books to take home from the book swap.

Well done Trinity a fabulous (but busy) day!

Squirrels Class are taking their training for the Pancake Race of 2024 very seriously...

The prestigious race will be a little later this year, due to the poor weather and will take place at 2:15 on Thursday 29th of February.
